"You don't know that for sure," Dragon pointed out, not quite sure how to explain to her how toms sometimes got confused in regard to she-cats. Sometimes they were so slow they didn't even recognize a she-cat had had feelings for them until they'd moved on. Seeing them display that sort of behavior towards another tom suddenly made everything clear, and by then, of course, it was much to late to do anything. Or, in Aurlo's case, he never got the chance to realize it. Or, if that was the case, a chance to develop feelings in return.

"Pretty much," Dragon responded, relieved that Teine seemed to have stopped crying. Because, quite frankly, he was beyond confused on how to handle this she-cat right now. With just typical toms, anything she-cat emotion-wise related was tough to understand, but for him, it was like trying to climb up a tree with fins. There was practically no point, and it was almost impossible.
