sky waited flinching every time a shot rung through the air. a few times there was a howl cut short by a gun shot so she was worried.

Maybell flinched at every shot and cut off howl. She couldn't stand it, and she just wanted to go back to her own den and curl up in a ball till the pain was gone. She looked to her friend and put her head on her friends back during one pitiful howl being cut off.

Time passes and the shots stop. more time still nothing. the hunters have gone. it is now dark

Maybell knew it had been awhile after the gunshots stopped, but she still felt bad and sick to her stomach thinking of the wolves that must have been killed. She curled up in a ball as she continued to lay there in the den.

Sky got up and ventured out a body of a wolf she didnt know was there dead. eyes glazed over and it laid a pool of dark red blood the sight was terrable. she flead back into the den "they left them there" she voice shook "they left them there!"

Maybell looked up as she heard Sky say they had left the wolves and got to her paws walking out into the scene before her. The forest to her looked red like it was covered in blood. She tried not to throw up as she stepped forward towards the wolf, "May you rest in peace." she said touching her nose to the wolfs. She then moved on to find the next wolf.
