Kiba sighed "he licked a tree" he paused "a tree with thorns" he added.

Yupi

"Momma!" Yupi cried happily, singling out her mother from among the hunters and running up to greet her.

Alita

"Hello, sweetie!" Alita smiled warmly, nuzzling her daughter.

Kendra turned toward the bushes Rose had pointed out. "Then we'll check it out." he said, leading the way through the bushes.

Rowan pushed some honey toward Levi. "When you're done with that. Lap up some honey, it'll soothe the cuts." he said.

Rose nodded and followed at the back of the group eager to see what was beyond the bushes.

Blizzen

Blizzen's muscles tensed as he followed the Alpha into the bushes, ready for a fight. Anything could be lurking just beyond those swaying leaves, and he had to be ready to meet it.

Raolan

Raolan sulkily followed the patrol into the bushes. What if there's a monsterous grizzley bear in there? he thought. He smiled cruelly when another thought occured to him. Perhaps, then, the bear would do my job for me! He imagined walking back into camp, the picture of the noble hero, explaining to the shocked pack that the rest of the patrol had been brutally mauled by a bear, and that he was now Alpha... He shook his head. It was far too much to hope for.

Kendra lead the way into the potential camp. She paused after emerging. The clearing was wide and expansive. There were places for dens scattered around the edges. It was looking good so far. It wouldn't flood because it wasn't in a giant bowl. She turned to the patrol. "Go off and inspect the dens. there will probably be animals here. Call out the alarm if you can't handle something." she ordered, then went off to inspect one of the larger dens.

Ithaca

Ithaca watched the puppylike wolf with a curious look and turned away, shaking her head. Her old pack would never have tolerated behavior like that from a grown wolf. She wondered what this new pack was like and shifted anxiously. She wondered what the alpha was like.

Blizzen looked around for his brother, Raolan. He didn't want him to try anything 'funny' while they were looking around. "Raolan!" he proclaimed heartily. "Come with me, brother!"

Raolan

"Well... If I MUST..." Raolan grumbled, rolling his eyes, but followed his brother to inspect a cave under a pile of rocks all the same.

Yupi

Yupi looked at the new wolf with curiousity. "Who are you?" she yipped, bouncing up to her and examining her closely. "Are you an intruder? Where are you from? Why is your pelt so muddy? Did you roll in mud? I do that sometimes! It's fun! Do you think it's fun?

Alita

"Yupi!" Alita gasped, appalled by her pup's abrupt nature. She shoved Yupi behind her with a paw and cast Ithaca an apologetic glance. "I'm so sorry, Ithaca! Yupi isn't usually this RUDE!" she said, giving her daughter a stern look.
