"Great!" she said, looking relieved at something to do. She padded out of the camp and started at a full run into the forest. DayStream loved the icy feel of the wind through her fur and the lush moss beneath her paws. The trees ran past her in just a blur. I wonder what good prey is out and about today... She though absently. Her thoughts went back to when she was a pup...There was a girl...that girl...she played with me and loved me... a tribe...coming of age...sticks! Those sticks!.... she growled at just the thought. Just then she tripped over a tree root and howled in pain, and for a second, she blacked out. She scolded herself for such behavior, shook off and started to run again.

DayStream suddenly caught the scent of prey, it was downwind, so she'd have to be careful. She quietly slowed down and got into a crouch, she had learned to hint alone a long time ago. It was a fat squirrel, nibbling on an acorn. She crept ever closer and leaped for the squirrel. She smiled with satisfaction as she felt flesh beneath her claws. She quickly ended it's life and buried it to take back later.... One down, Two to go....
