Fade twitched as another loud boom of thunder escaped the cloudy sky. He nuzzled his mate before answering, "Thank you." he said softly, glad that she was okay with it. He turned his attention to one of his colts that had spoken, "It's probably best that you go with your mother, unless it's okay with her?" he said as he glanced up at Serenity.

.:*Dakota*:.

Dakota jumped again, he didn't like the thunder at all, "I'm going with you mommy." he said quickly, almost hard to understand with the shakiness of his voice.

Serenity nodded, offering Fade a small smile. Which quickly disappeared at the next crack of Thunder. "Orrin, you're coming with your brother and I." She said firmly, nudging him forward. She gently licked Dakota's forehead, "It's alright baby, we'll be out of this storm in no time." She said warmly, leading them forward.

Fade nodded back before taking off into the rain, hopefully he'd fine Aurora and get back to them as soon as possible. He didn't like the thought of Serenity being alone with the two foals. Once he hit the edge of the forest he quickened his pace to a gallop. He carefully dodged the trees around him as he followed Aurora's scent.

.:*Dakota*:.

Dakota nodded, he didn't want to speak. He quickly followed behind his mother but after another boom of thunder came out of the sky he jumped and hurried to his mother and brother's side.

.: Aurora Lights :.

Aurora had been heading back, when she heard the loud boom of thunder and rain starting to light hit her through the tree's. It through her off, sending her running in to wrong direction. She panicked as she reached a clearing that she never remember crossing. Aurora's heart raced and as she was backing up, she heard another boom of thunder, causing her to let out a nervous whinny.

Serenity led her foals in the caves, choosing a cavern where you could hardly hear the boom of thunder. She didn't know how much she wanted Aurora, but would try her best to be nice. She lay down and motioned for her foals to follow her lead.

As the rain came down harder the scent began to fade, the large stallion threw his head and reared before he took off in a gallop, continuing the way that the scent had been consistently leading him. As he ran he snorted with disappointment in himself, the scent was gone. He came to a quick halt and shook out his mane as he tried to gather his thoughts. He decided to go a bit further so he started off in a canter, going straight forward. He again came to a stop when he heard a feint whinny, it sounded like a mare but he wasn't sure with the sound of the rain and thunder being louder than it. Fade let out a loud whinny to the unknown horse and began to gallop towards it, hoping it was Aurora.

Dakota silently followed his mother as she looked for a cave for them to stay in until the storm passed.

.: Spotted Belle :.

Belle snorted, flicking her tail in irritation as it began to ran down. She shook out her wet forelock as it began to stick to her face. Belle looked around, trying to locate shelter. But her efforts were useless, and she quickly cantered over to a cluster of tree's to seek a bit of cover.

.: Aurora Lights :.

Aurora felt herself flooded with relief when she heard a whinny short after her own, knowing she wouldn't be alone during the storm. Aurora let out a louder whinny this time, hopefully letting the other horse locate her.

As Fade began to loose hope once again he head a louder whinny, this time he was sure it was Aurora. He shok out the rain from his mane as he ran towards where the whinny had came from. He again let out a loud whinny and continued forward, not waiting for a response, he was sure she was up here.

Aurora turned around, her mane sopping wet and plastered to her neck now. She let out one last call, straining to hear the faint hoofbeats coming from the ran. Aurora squealed, jumping forward when lightning flashed across the sky, the whites of her eyes showing as she became more and more petrified.

Fade pushed his hoofs harder against the soaked grass, pushing himself faster as he began up the hill. Once he got to the top he came to a stop and looked around, only moments after he began he spotted Aurora. He felt electricity in the air as the lightning struck the meadow not too far away. He reared and let out a loud whinny before bolting down the hill towards the mare.
