Fade smiled as the mare took a few steps closer, but he could see in her eyes that she wasn't so sure of him yet, "It's a pleasure meeting you Serenity." he said as he lowered his head in respect but brought it right back up when he finished. Fade took a look around, no stallions? She must have been a loner since he couldn't see nor smell any other stallions near, "What are you doing all alone out here?" he asked is a calm tone but with curiosity. It was rare to see a lone mare around here with all of the predictors and the so called "Mysteire" with his nonexistent herd.

Serenity watched him as his head bowed, and she took another couple steps towards him. The mare watched the small waves that lapped at Fade's legs and then she looked up at him. "I wander the valley during the day... So... I guess I'm wandering all alone..." Serenity said softly, maybe this stallion wasn't so bad afterall. But she still assumed he was after her heat scent, and that was what kept her from moving to be beside him to be in a more friendly stance.

As the mare slowly came closer to him he soon began to tower the mare. He looked down at her and noticed how tense she was, "You don't need to worry, I wont snake you." he said calmly with a small wink. He wasn't a fan of how other stallions would treat mares.. treat them as if the mares belong to them. He was different and wished that the mares could see this in him, but there was no way to show unless you treated them with respect.

With this new comment Serenity allowed her guard down. She looked up at the large stallion, a bit intimidated by his height. She offered him a small smile, "I'm not worrying... At least not anymore..." Serenity said softly. As the mare looked up at Fade she realized two things. #1 that he was telling the truth and had no intentions of snaking her. #2 that he was actually quite handsome compared to some stallions. The mare finally moved to be beside him, showing that she was trusting him for the time being.

Fade smiled fully when the mare came to his side, he had to be at lease a hand or two taller then the mare but she didn't seem to care much. He lowered his head and took another drink from the pond the raised it again and looked at her. The heat scent was stronger now that the mare was closer but he tried his best to not show any signs of him caring, he didn't want to scare the mare away if he had showed signs that he cared since she hadn't joined his "herd". Thinking of the word "herd" reminded him that he didn't have any mares and since most of them were in heat, the desperate stallions would be sure to claim them all, "So you don't have a herd yet?" he asked even though he knew the answer.

Serenity felt the tiniest bit bad at the fact she was in heat and was forcing him to deal with it. She tried her best not to flick her tail too much, preventing her scent from flying everywhere. At the sound of Fade's voice the mare was drawn from her thoughts. "No... I don't have a herd..." Serenity said softly, shaking her mane a little bit. She lowered her own head and drank a little from the pond. Once she was done the mare looked up at Fade with a very faint smile. "If you'd like... I would be honored to join your herd." She said softly.

Fade noticed how hard she was trying to keep her heat scent from spreading around, "You don't have to hide your heat scent," he said calmly and softly, "I wont do anything." he had too much respect for mares to let their heat scents take control of him. When she lifted her head from drinking the water we continued to speak, "Well if you'd like, you can join mine? Even though you'd be the only one for now." he said the second half of his words a bit quieter.

Serenity looked at him curiously, "I just don't want to make you suffer with the scent..." She commented quietly, and then me his gaze silently. She pondered his offering for a moment, "I'll join." She nodded her head a bit, "Because this way I'll have the strongest stallion to protect me." 'And the most handsomest too.' Serenity added in her head. She then began to argue with her mental self over whether or not Handsomest was a word. When she realized she had fallen quiet for several minutes she shook out her mane and nudged Fade's neck gently.

Fade shook his head lightly, "I would rather suffer then for you to be in pain.." he chuckled lowly at the last part, "We'll at least you look like you are." he nuzzled her neck in response to her doing it, he was glad that he hadn't scared her off. Fade raised his head high with his ears even higher when he smelt a new mare close by but lowered it back down to Serenity's.

Serenity gave a small laugh, "Trust me, I'm not in pain... Even if it looks like I am." She said softly, and promptly flicked her tail. The mare gently nuzzled Fade's cheek when his head was lowered. The mare stiffened a bit at the scent of another mare, but she remembered that being in a herd would require her to learn to get along with other mares. Serenity let out a low nicker of sadness.
