The paramedics loaded Bill up and jack talked to them about what had happened. After they left jack sat on the steps of the house and sighed scratching his head.

"Just wondering," Adam said. "I'll head to the apartment as soon as I'm done with the mare I'm working with. Please tell Dominic to check on Xenia. She'll be in the single horse paddock. Tell him he'll be happy with her. I'll see you then." Adam led Xenia to an empty paddock where she could frolic on her own and not get hurt. He closed the gate and headed to the parking lot.

Xenia was full and she sniffed the grass instead of eating. She pricked her ears up to see what Adam would do. She followed him into the paddock and nickered good bye as he closed and locked the gate. She walked about, trying to see how much her body could handle.
