Royce felt awkward. "Oh... I'm sorry." He said. "What happened to him? I mean, if you don't mind me asking."

"He um he fell into a ditch when he was chasing me and a rock cut his neck and he bled out." Tears welled up in Winters eyes

Royce nuzzled her gently. "I'm sorry." He said. "You know, I'm really not sure why they never blocked that ditch up. We had a couple of deaths because of it now."

"I miss him so much." Winter sighed

"I don't blame you." Royce said, looking down the ditch again. "What was his name?"

"Jasper, our twin foals are just ready to be out on there own and we were going to try again." Winter sighed and looked to the ground

"Why would you want your little ones to leave?" Royce asked kindly.
