Steel grazed near Arieli and Rain. He kept a sharp eye on them to make sure that they were fine. He thought about Roulette, alone out in the world. The thought of her death crossed his mind and he shuddered. No, no. She couldn't have he thought. Roulette is too headstrong and fierce to let herself die.

Roulette had grown taller although her ribs were showing. She had found a small private haven in the middle of the dense thicket. It had a small stream which filled a nearby pond and a small area of grass. The amount was sufficient for one foal, not for more. She had grown accustomed to chewing on the mint leaves to soothe her aching belly. She was still young and supposed to be on milk, but she had seen others eating grass and decided to try it. Her mind was ready to eat it, but her stomach wasn't. After a graze, her belly would hurt and the mint leaves which grew abundantly were helpful.

Xenia looked at Laoro and smiled. She grazed quietly, her eyes gleaming in the fading sunlight.

Infinite was aloof as always. Her wild spirit was even too much for a horse to handle.

Laoro kicked and reared inside the small pen because of anger. He couldn't stand it being in a closed space, without anyone. He put his muzzle through the bars. ''Xenia!'' he nickered sadly as his voice went down.

Aya looked worried at Jake's leg. Then she looked at her own front legs. She had cuts from jumping over the fence too. She smiled slightly. ''It will be ok'' she said.
