
- He nodded and turned around, looking at her over his shoulder. "Goodbye." He declared, before walking away. He started to trot, his pads making a dulled thud against the road. He crossed a grimy street, his eyes roving across the place, looking for a cove of shelter.
He spotted a small cave-like formation. Cautiously, he stepped towards it, noting the overhang and how deep it was. It wasn't too shallow, but it was shallow enough to provide comfort. It was only a small bit higher than ground level, so he would't be drowned in his sleep if floods came.
Damon rocked back on his haunches and sprang upwards, landing in the shelter. He scooted to the back and circled, exhausted from meeting another dog and running around all day. With a thump, he flopped on the floor, curling up in a tight ball.
