The Wolves of Sangaku and the Wolves of Heiya have lived as rivals for many years. Apparently, the eviler of the two packs, the Wolves of Heiya have not attacked the Wolves of Sangaku for four years, ever since they killed the former Alpha Male, Arufa dansei. The new Alpha, Arufas son, Kizoku fears that all there four years, the W.O.H have been plotting to attack the W.O.S. and destroy the pack, claiming their half of the Okami no mori, the forest of Wolves.

Wolves of Sangaku ~ Good Guys. The Wolves of Sangaku live in a very hilly and mountainous forest, which consists of many flowing rivers. Each full moon, Kizoku wil take his entire pack to the highest peak of the mountains, where the moonlight shines into a small pool. At the pool, every pack Wolf will howl to the spirits of a fallen pack wolf, or for the sake of a sick or injured Wolf. All of the Wolves must remain silent until Kizoku has finished a full howling note.

Personality: Ren is an all out leader. She takes advice but isn't too gullible. There's honesty in her heart along with loyalty. The cloud shielding her faults hold high ambition, cynicalness, and mystery that only one's she trust can come close to hearing. She's intelligent, friendly, and calm to describe the rest of her. Her biggest fault is she doesn't want other's to pity or worry her, it brings back memories.

History: Ren was cursed to live with a family that made pacts with the dead(or so the legend says). It was said that the family head of the Akuma, Ren's grandfather forced her to be the sacrifice to the demon ancestor of the pack at only 12 months old. She was dealt this fate at only a moon old and was raised differently than her brother, Rolo in ways like they weren't allowed to see each other. The pack believed that anyone who was touched by the AS(Ancestor's Sacrifice) was to die with them. Ren grew away from the pack and in a very old human containment. She was starved and the only thing she could really do was howl. She developed a vocabulary with her brother using the howling system when everyone else thought she was crazy. After a year it was time and she was taken to the pack for her last week. If she was going to die her last request was to be happy. She saw her brother and her parents and what they had become. Her parent's looked much older than 3 years and her brother looked tired. Her last night she howled a song of sadness and her life and ran away, deep into the banned territory. Word passed by that her Nickname to the Akuma's was Rin. She spent a year growing used to a normal loner's life rather than a cursed animal to be pitied. She learned to hunt, fight, scavenge, and even picked up random tips from passing loners.

Personality: Rolo is kind, obedient, and pragmatic. Sometimes he can have no imagination and other times he'll be in an undisturbed daydream. He worries alot for his sister and his family and hopes that his grandfather will be easy on them. Rolo is sweet and likes to have fun but no one really gets to know the real him but the ones close to him. He's terribly overprotective

History: Rolo was born into the regular life except for the fact that his sister was the Ancestor sacrifice. He was never jealous of his sister but he wished her freedom and safety.He had friends and wolves who did things for him but it wasn't out of kindness. He took a liking to a female about his age but realized she was being kind to him because he was to be the heir someday. He found out that every one took kindness on him for that very reason and learned to turn away from it. After that he always found it harder to know other's true feelings. He watched his parent's stress themselves out for their children and it became to much. He ran away and learned the life of a true wolf. His life was always filled with wolves who treated him with respect. They never got to close to him, they always dealt with his fits, and did everything he asked and he hated it. Every night he would watch the trainees hunt and practice their fighting moves with their mentors. He took on their moves and learned everything himself.When it was time he said goodbye to his parents and pursued his sister, losing her scent and following a stale scent of one of the pack members from Sangaku.
