Dawnleaf opened his eyes slowly, he yawned and stood up stretching baring his long white fangs. He scanned the area slowly, then headed across the tree to search for Frost's scent trail, after a long and exhausting three hour search around the city he nearly gave up. He looked to a telephone pole and climbed up, sitting at the top he let out three sharp yowls calling to her, he was beginning to worry about her safety. He crossed the electric wires to a nearby fallen branch suspended on the thin rubbery lines. He walked out on it and lay, again tucking his front paws into his chest and waiting for a reply, his eyes sad and distant of his old friend he thought he had lost forever.
