I nodded to Kasia and bent down and tore into the water buffalo calf.I pulled away after its stomach was no more.I took a few steps back and nodded to Kasia."You can eat now." I turned and sat down by the river that ran through the plains.I lapped at the word and purred.The cold water felt good against my parched throat.

I nuzzled Sapheara before lying down and tearing into the zebra.After part of the zebra was gone I backed away to let Sapheara eat."That'll kill will probably last us until tomorrow." I smiled and rolled onto my back.I moved my body from side to side as the cool grass got an itch that had been bothering me for so long.I rolled back over and let out a long loud roar.I hoped to attract more females.
Daya
I looked back and flicked my tail.It brushed against Deagen's nose.I purred in amusement and looked around "so is your home far Deagen?" I asked as we walked.

Sapheara ate some of the zebra then walked into the water slowly, she shook her fur clean then walked out of the water, she sat beside Bru, "Bru, don't be surprised if I get jealous of other females, alright?" she teased and rubbed her face in his mane.

Johanna let out a long roar for a male. She wanted a pride or her. The tiny male had died only hours before. She wasn't able to have cubs now, but was a skilled hunter.

Malika let out a loud call for a male. She was in heat and ready for cubs. She wanted them terribly. She was also scared that she could get hurt all alone.

Bru
My ears pricked up as I heard two separate roars.I looked at Sapheara and purred with delight."Stay here." I got up and jogged down the rock path and let out louder longer roars answering the two females.

Johanna perked her ears and started heading for the male answering her. She took off at a trot.

Malika reached the male first. "Hello." she purred and sat. She said and sat a little ways away.

Kaisa crept forward and fastened her jaws onto a muscle, ripping it free of the buffalo's motionless frame. A wet snarl of satifaction rose through her column as she dug into the raw meal, ivory dentures staining crimson and rouge fluid dripping from her maw. When she was finished, she pulled away and cleaned the blood from her muzzle.

Deagen shook his head "no" he said, then he heard femalesroring, and he answered them

Johanna stopped at the sound of another male. She called back and slowly headed that way.

Sapheara sat in her den, she sighed, and rolled onto her back, there was a hole in the ceiling that let her look at the stars, she smiled, and chuffed, she knew he was out getting more females but she had a feeling that she would always be his true mate.
