(*grins evilyy and rubs hands together like a madman* Good. Muaha, muahaha, MUAHAHAHA!~ xD)
Crash stumbled through the woodland, every muscle in her body numbed with exhausting pain. The sun beat down mercilessely on her as she treaded through, her tongue lolling out in thirst. Her gray pelt, once long and luxorious, now hung in dirty clumps hugging her body. She was skin and bones; every bone jutting out painfully from her body. The ground was hot and dry underpaw as Crash weakly dragged herself through, her yellow orbs dull with exhaustion. Finally, her body could take no more. She was unable to stop herself from colliding into a large pine tree and collapsing to the ground in front of it, her flank barely rising and falling. Crash's life began to flash before her eyes as the dying fae lay there at the foot of the trunk, struggling to keep her eyes open.
First, she saw herself beside her sister suckling at her mother's belly. She whined and pawed at her mother's tummy, looking up at her wide-eyed. Her mother simply looked down and smiled at her, bending her head to lick her daughter's forehead gently. "You'll do great things one day, Crash." she whispered, lifting her head. "I promise."
Crash's life fast-forwarded to find herself now four months old, crouched outside of a den. As her best friend Chiyo sauntered out, Crash growled and leapt from her concealed spot, tackling him playfully. "Ha, got you!" she crowed, climbing off of Chiyo and wagging her tail playfully. She watched as her friend scrambled to his paws, shaking out the dirt from his coat. "You fall for that every time!" Crash laughed, nearly falling over in laughter. "Oh yeah, just wach! I'll get you next time!" Chiyo barked, crouching low playfully. Crash rolled her eyes and barked at him, "Whatever helps you sleep at night, Chiyo."
Suddenly, Crash's life zoomed forward to when she was seven months. She was sitting with Chiyo gazing up at the moon, shifting her paws nervousely. I have to tell someone. she thought, flicking her ears. "Hey, Chiyo?" she asked quietly, turning her head to face her friend. "Can I tell you something?" Chiyo turned his head to face Crash, flicking his ears. "Yeah, sure. What is it?" Crash took in a deep breath. She couldn't hold it in any longer.
"I-I think I'm a lesbian, Chiyo."
At this, Chiyo's ears quirked up in surprise. "What did you say?" he asked, stunned. Crash narrowed her eyes, willing for her friend to understand. "I'm a lesbian, Chiyo." Crash then noticed what seemed like disappointment flicker through Chiyo's gaze, but it was gone in a heartbeat. "I'm glad for you, Crash." he barked, giving her that oh-so familiar warm smile of his. "Hey, if you're happy, then I'm happy."
Crash smiled and nudged him in a friendly manner, turning her head to face the moon again. "Thanks, Chiyo."
Crash's life then fast-forwarded one month excactly after that day. The Alpha of her Pack loomed over her, a disgusted look on his face. "A lesbian?" he scoffed, whisking his tail as he did so. "We don't accept your kind here, Crash. I think it's best that you leave." Crash gazed up at her Alpha with wide, pleading eyes. Tears cascaded down her cheeks and her tail-tip twitched frantically behind her. "B-But, please Alpha-"
"Go!" He cut her off with a snarl. Crash looked 'round at the faces of her Packmates, picking out her mother and sister. They both refused to look her in the eye, shifting from paw to paw. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Chiyo trying to push his way through the crowd, but his father held him back with his tail. "No, they can't do this!" he wailed, looking at her pleadingly. "Crash!"
"Let her go." his father growled to him, his ears flat against his head as he stared Crash down. Head hung low, Crash padded slowly towards the camp entrance. The last thing she heard was Chiyo's cries as she pushed her way out of the entrance, never looking back.~
Is this the end? Crash thought frantically, trying to stir her muscles. But alas! Hunger and exhaustion had worn them down; she couldn't even fight to stifle a twitch. Panic arose in her throat and she tried to call out, but to no avail. Am I going to die here?~
