October turned his head to her, wondering what happened but also not wanting to but in. "It is something from your past right?" hi guessed, shuffling his paws. "The past shapes your future, but can ruin your present if you let it linger." he spoke more, looking up at Calla now and then, making sure the announcement had not started. "the past his like several habits, good and bad. And those bad habits, bad memories, need to be broken, before they break you." October spoke softly, the words filled with meaning as he spoke from his mind and heart. He nuzzled her in a friendly way, forgetting about the announcement at the moment.

" It isn't from my past.. It is about the wolf I loved.. " Kate mumbled softly. She felt a bit shock when he nuzzled her even though it was a friendly one.

Her head swiveled in both directions to look at the wolves gathered, it seemed almost all of them were here so she decided to begin. "Only two wolves are missing from the group, so I'll begin." She stated referring to Ansel and Knight, her white fur being tugged by the warm homely winds of Summer. Her eyes drifted to October and Kate who were having a small conversation, but when Calla noticed him nuzzle her she quieted, looking away with a smile. She herself now knew what it was like to have someone be special to you, and mating season was only a season away. "OK, the pack needs to be strong for Fall so we can prepare for Winter. We need more than a few morsels for an entire pack, so I'm sending a hunting party out. That I will be leading." She looked to Kodiak with an apologetic glance, he had recently been granted the title of Lead Hunter but Calla felt for some reason that she should be apart of this hunt. "Since we're short two wolves I'm assigning some replacements." Her cheeks heated up a bit for she knew who one of the wolves would be. Lifting her strong jaw, she parted her teeth and let out a long howl pointed toward Tabestan and Renier. "When they arrive, we will set out toward the meadow. I've recently scented and seen a few deer over there. They are large in size and will be a good source of food." She finished, her eyes falling on Renier who stood and trotted over. As he dipped his head to her, she gave a gracious nod and then looked at the forest, her eyes searched eagerly for Tabestan.

Solo saw Calla and walked slowly towards her, he lowered his orange head to a bow."Hello" he said, his head still low. "I am Solo and I would like to join your pack." he said,glancing upwards.

Immediately seeing the stranger wolf Calla leaps down from the Alpha Rock, tail raised in dominance. "What is your name?" She snarled, ears up and forward on her white head. Stiffed legged she circled the brute, taking in his scent, her hackles were raised as she processed him. Realizing by now that his claim was sincere, she let her hackles fall as she stood in front of him once more. She sat on her haunches with her ears still high as she awaited his answer.

"I am Solo, I met Leykal back there" He pointed towards the woods. He watched her circling him, and scratched his orange ear. "I thought maybe I should find a pack after my pack died" he added.

Calla was not alright with his cool attitude, he seemed to not understand the severity of the fact that he just burst into her announcement without a wolf in her pack to introduce him. He walked to her alone without a care in the world, and she wouldn't take this attitude from some loner. Lifting her legs she placed her paws on his shoulders applying force as she did so, growling and snapping toward his face she asserted her dominance in an act to make him submit. And if he did not submit, joining the pack was a lost cause.

Solo looked at the Alpha and flattened his ears and licked her chin. He then lowered his head in a respectful way. But he kept his eyes on Calla.

As Tabestan lapped up drop after drop of the lakes thirst quenching water, his head pulled back in surprise to hear Calla howl, understanding the hunters were short of two. A small smile tugged at his lips as he made the journey back to the alpha rock, large amounts of dirt clung to his pads with every stride he took as he left deep impressions in the layers of brown damp earth. It took a shorter amount of time to arrive back, Tabestans breath shortened as he came to a slow trot, breaking away from the forests shadows. Tabestan took a good look at the group of determined hunters, his orange orbs reflecting their anxious expressions, claws raking the dirt with determination to aid the pack. He too mingled with the crowd, letting his attention lead back to Calla who called him to fill a hunters empty slot.
