Buck's Pride whinnied, shaking his mane as he noticed other horses being lead around on ropes by their trainers. His whole mind-set was to simply great them all, no matter how odd he looked doing so. They weren't in the starting gate yet, so why not be friendly? It certainly wouldn't hurt anyone, would it?
