Blaze turned to the pups. "Stay here. Promise you will stay here." he said quickly. They all nodded. Blaze shot out, tearing through the forest. "KANTI!!!" he howled, looking at his blurred surroundings.

She heard Blaze and picked up the pup in her mouth. She ran away from Blaze's calls. Her moth still holding the pup she ran farther and farther. Tears streamed down her face.

"Kanti..." he whimpered. He had remembered Kanti saying that their pups wouldnt die. He was trying to make sure they survived. "KANTI!" he yelped once more.

May I call you mama " the pup asked

Her paws skidded to a stop and she turned to loom in the direction of Blaze. Putting the pup down she looked around. "Sure." Quickly she picked the pup and hid in the bushes.

His ears perked at Blaze's calls for Kanti. "Wonder what that's all about?"

The puppy snuggled up to her belly and tried nursing she soon felt asleep
