Kaai listened, ears pinned back slightly as she heard the gunshot in the distance. "All I know," She turned her head to face Raven, "Is that the pack will always be loyal, through death or not...but I can't help but feel..." Holding out a long sigh, she shook her head, "I don't know...It just seems.." Closing her eyes lightly, she thanked Raven for her loyalty, and knew that when the time comes, she will make a wonderful alpha. "I'm lucky to have a deputy like you," She dropped her old sentence, unknowing of how to complete it. "I only hope things will be different soon." Kaai flicked her tail slightly, the gunshot making her even more aware, their prey would be running low now, no deer, rabbits, oh, she hoped for the spring to come, and following it summer. The snow hurt her paws, chilling her bones as she wished to just sit there and watch the stars, as if no danger lurked behind every shrub. "Tomorrow, I'll check it all out, and... then we can be sure of our threat. We just need time...which we may not have." Shaking her head in slight anger, she added "I've lead the pack into a land where danger is everywhere, I... I'm sorry. I should have known humans would build here, I mean, soon it will be full of them, the wretched creatures!" She felt a growl swirl in her throat, but calmed it and plopped down onto her haunches, licking her paw clean of snow. "It's a hard winter, and I know...I know we won't be in this same place by the next winter. Maybe some day, not any time soon, we'll have to leave." Kaai shook her head, knowing how stupid she sounded - humans aren't that much of a threat, only their building, which would grow on and on - but they chose a place to stay too close by them, it was too dangerous to hunt the farmer's chickens, which normally ran loose in the plains, too dangerous to hunt the rodents and rabbits in the old ruin, and by far to go out there looking for new grounds to state as a territory, but it would settle soon, just as the life would grow in the spring time, and everything would be alright, but how'd the she-wolf know if they were even of threats? At the moment no one could know, only that humans were near, and it was a little off-balance with the deer and rabbits they'd be hunting.

Tell us about you, what do you like?: "I like running. It's hard to explain the feeling I get when I run through the forest, no worries invading my mind. I like hunting too, but what wolf doesn't? I like to be alone too, independent, no responsibilities. That's it really..."
What do you dislike?: "Hmm... I don't like running into packs or other lone wolves... Not that I'm a coward, but I usually avoid a fight."

Your personality?: "I think others would say shy - but I wouldn't. I may keep to myself and I'm quiet, sometimes. I'm independent, that's all. Free. And I like it that way. Okay, maybe I get lonely sometimes but there's nothing I can do about that. I also have an aggressive side. I have to say, others annoy me quite easily. I can be very quick-tempered. Those who knew me said I was intelligent, witty and courageous sometimes too. It takes time to gain my trust, but once you do I can be a true friend."
And optional, history?: "My past is on a need to know basis and, frankly, you don't need to know."

What song suits you best?: "Umm...? Any suggestions?"

Your appearance?: Destiny's thick coat is mainly a mixture of white and ginger hairs, except for her stomach, paws and the underside of her muzzle which are all white. She is about average height with thin, agile legs. Her weight is under the average of a normal fae and she does look a bit thin. Her eyes are bright amber, with a few flecks of gold. She has a few scars criss-crossing her legs and stomach and her left ear is slightly torn at the tip.

Do you have a rank in the pack?: "I am a loner at the moment."
Any thing else? Or is that all?: "That's pretty much it."

(Sooo sorry I haven't been on in a while. Large project due next tuesday and my group has hardly even started. We've been spending a lot of time on it x.X)

"Of course we'll have to leave. No place is ever safe for long." Raven said sadly, lifting her head to face the brisk wind that was approaching. "But nothing is going to happen tonight. Tomorrow is a new day, and tomorrow a decision will be made. But that decision can't be made with an Alpha who's worried herself out of a good night's rest." she said with a small chuckle, nudging her Alpha playfully.

"It will take a lot more than humans to eradicate our race from this earth." she added softly, turning around and beckoning with her tail for her Alpha to follow. The night was getting cold quickly, and they needed to bed down; their winter pelts would only protect them for so long. Raven, while fierce, was also quite maternal in terms of her packmates, deigning to take care of them when she felt they were in no position to take care of themselves adequately, even the Alpha.

Kaai sighed, but didn't reply, only nodded her head as Raven turned and gestured for the alpha to follow, shaking down her worries, and with one last look at the sky, she closed her eyes, stood, and followed slowly behind, the thought was out of her mind,they didn't need to worry so much about a little danger, Kaai never let weakness pass her, and she would not now. Eyes narrowing at the breeze, she swept her tail angrily at the ground, shaking off her cold fur, and sped up her pace, fur on end as the smells of intruders loping into their beds hit her glands, they wouldn't come near their grounds, or so help her, they'd be regretful. Rain slowly pattered down, hitting and bouncing off of leaves, and onto the she-wolf's pelt, it heaved it's way across the sky, and within moments the crackle of thunder burst through. Racing down into the camp, she turned away from the path she'd followed with her deputy, and nodded goodbye as she trotted into her den, easily slipping through the wet moss and mud that flagged the bottom of her pads, and up her legs. The air dampened inside, and it didn't feel like home, she'd need rest to get all of the worries away, but for now, Kaai wasn't the least bit in thought of it.
