{ Accepted, I've added you to the front page. :3

Kaai nodded, ears perked as she listened. "Hmm, all right, Techno. Take one or two with you, or as many as you need, and make sure they stay out of here." Sitting in silence for a brief moment, she then continued. "The humans will be dealt with shortly, but keep your eyes out for them, I don't trust on it staying for deer for long." She nodded, ears flicking. "I'll call the pack to a meeting, and tell of them what's going on." The she-wolf stood, shaking off her fur, and dipped her head loyally to the wolf as she passed to the entrance and exit of her den, pushing her way through until she stood out in the cold, deep snow. A rock ledge came off at the base of a hill, where she'd call the meeting. Slowly padding over to the rock, Kaai sat at the tip and let out a long howl, loud enough to wake those sleeping, but not enough to let other predators seek them by sound. The she-wolf sat and waited for the pack to gather, ears perked and fur pricking.

[Raven--Deputy]

Upon hearing the howl, Raven Scythe's ears perked. Within moments, she was on her feet, bounding towards where she had heard the howl of her Alpha. Being an observant creature, she knew the caution by which her howl had resonated, and the dutious she-wolf was immediately on high-alert. She was, as usual, the first one there, snow clinging to her black pelt. She showed no sign of wear; she had sprinted straight from her den where she had been observing a short reprieve from the cold.

"My Alpha." she stated quietly, folding her ears back and dipping her head respectfully. Her taut muscles quivered under her sleek, black pelt, her yellow eyes pointed down from the Alpha, as protocol insisted. She was high on tradition, and even if she had been best friends with the Alpha, she still would have offered the same formal greeting. After a moment, she lifted her head, concern reverberating in her intelligent occuli.

"What ails you, my Alpha Kaai? Your wolfsong sounded agitated." she queried, sinking to her rump in a sitting position before Kaai, her posture showing that she was on full alert.

Akhalli | Healer

What was that sound? Where was it coming from? Who's watching me? All these thoughts ran through Akhalli's mind as she walked through the forest, feeling lost, alone, and confused. She was hungry and cold, having not eaten in days. She licked her lips, not remembering even the last time she had a drink. It was later that she found out she was delusional because of her thirst and hunger and imagined someone was chasing her when it was clearly no one. Until then however, she heard a rustling of leaves and maybe a growl. What was happening to her? Akhalli pressed her back against a tree and whined slightly. She bared her teeth, showing large and glistening canines. A growl escaped her mouth as she pressed her ears back against her head and put her tail between her legs. The normally proud and graceful Akhalli was reduced to a sniveling wimp. A shadow of what she once was.
Then Akhalli snapped her eyes open. She scrambled up to her feet frantically, her teeth bared and a wild look in her eyes. As soon as she calmed enough to look at her surroundings she found her den in camp. No one was with her and she was safe. Akhalli took a deep breath and yawned, once again showing her teeth. She shivered slightly, remembering her dream. Thankfully it wasn't that bad of a nightmare. It was nothing like the one Akhalli usually experienced. She padded out of her den, head held high as always. She never believed in showing weakness. After all, she was safe and in a pack now. She was lucky she wasn't wandering alone in the forest still and owed this pack her life. She still, however, wanted to find who she truly was. Her memory slowly returned in flashes and bits and pieces but she still couldn't remember what had happened completely.
Akhalli lifted her head, hearing the howl of her leader. There was no use whining and being a fur- ball now as her leader called. She quickly padded towards the howl, wondering what would be said at the meeting.
The Universe is very, very big.
It also loves a paradox. For example, it has some extremely strict rules.

Rule number one: Nothing lasts forever.
Not you or your family or your house or your planet or the sun. It is an absolute rule. Therefore when someone says that their love will never die, it means that their love is not real, for everything that is real dies.

Rule number two
: Everything lasts forever.

{ Techno, the lead fighter was attacked by foxes and scented them - a family of them - nearby. Kaai called a meeting, and... I suppose that's it?

Kaai dipped her head to the she-wolf who sat below, watching as Akhalli, the healer made way over. "Techno has brought us news. It is not good, but nothing bad enough to worry for." Eyes widening in how unsafe the land was, she decided not to put it into words. "I, uh...say this before you all, and would like for you to keep your ears and eyes wide open, no scent of enemies will be kept from your pack members, stale or not. Foxes have been found along the borders, and even in the camp. We will deal with it, it is no problem, but other dangers are popping out now that we've settled. Humans - have been scented nearby, they've made way into the old abandoned ruins west of our borders. Be careful if you see or smell them, they are hunting deer, and if that is not enough for them..." Cutting of her words, she then continued. "I don't know what is. Now, stay alert when hunting or patrolling, it is a big risk to lose a wolf in this pack." Eyes lowering down to the wolves below, she licked her bristled fur, calming down her mind of sweeping thoughts and questions. The pack would have to be aware of any other dangers lurking in the bushes, and as she'd known, they would. Eyes lingering from healer to deputy, she nodded her head and leapt off the ledge, landing clumsily on three legs, as she felt unbalanced once she dizzily stood. "That will be all." Gentling down her stern gaze, Kaai felt her heart pound within her chest, blood running cold with the thought of being invaded by humans, there isn't a way the people wouldn't find them, with all the places they'll move to. Silently slipping back to her den, she sat outside and called out to her trusted healer. "Akhalli." She stopped, then continued. "I've put a ball of herbs near the kill-stock, I hope they are of use for you." With a simple nod of her head, she padded off, "Perhaps a walk would help ease off the stress." She added to herself.

[Raven--Deputy]

A low snarl escaped the loyal deputy's muzzle at the mention of foxes, but it fell into a stunned silence at the mention of humans.

"Humans. Here. In our territory?" she asked hurriedly, blinking rapidly in an attempt to absorb the information. She nodded sullenly as her Alpha concluded the report, her own mind reeling at the prospect of such danger being so close. She was a fighter, and as much as she desired to go show those humans a thing or two, she knew that she wouldn't stand a chance against their thunder-sticks. She tsked quietly to herself, shooting her Alpha a concerned gaze as she landed from the ledge less dexterously than usual, but not saying anything except for bowing her head as Kaai went back to her den.

Raven was left there, brow furrowed in consternation as she thought about a plan of action. She was concerned beyond all measure, having seen humans before and knowing what they were capable of. As she watched the healer, Akhali being summoned to the den, she felt a slight pang of helplessness, wondering what she could do, if anything. She remained where she was, the wind whipping through her pelt, she watched Kaai start off once again. She would likely trail her Alpha at a distance, to make sure the threat didn't come too near.

Kaai stopped in her pace, once in the depth of the woods, dipping her head to scent the ground, and lifting it to scent the air. "Raven," She called, turning around to see out her deputy through the trees. "Would you mind coming with me? We have much to discuss, and need to figure out a plan against the enemies." The wolf continued on in a slight hassle of words, not knowing what to do next. "I think the humans are getting too close, the ruin was always a place for us to hunt rodents and find old food left over." She sighed, head lowering. Whatever she thought about this, and no matter how much stress flew over her, she was wasting her time, the humans weren't close enough to be a threat, but she knew they'd find them shortly, and when that happened... well, Kaai wouldn't like to see it. Eyes closing a little against the break of the sunlight setting over the trees, she felt the cold night breeze flutter through her thick fur, paws grasping the ground in slight terror and fright of what was to come, but with the pack on her shoulders she knew they wouldn't be defeated.

Luna

Luna shook her head. Humans couldn't come here. We had nothing for them, unless they want a chunk of their leg bitten off! "I would say Fur-ball, but I prefer Bare-Ball for a human..." She murmured to herself with a light chuckle. She wandered off into the forest and saw a healthy buck in the sunlight. She crept into a stalk and lunged toward it, only to stop halfway to a gunshot. She ran back to the pack and hid in her den. " I don't like firesticks. I don't.".

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Faolen
Faolen lept up. He couldn't STAND humans. So he sat down. But he really couldn't stand the though of them intruding THEIR territory! Faolen growled at the thought and walked toward a sort of hill-cliff thing. He stood on top and watched over the forest. If those humans entered these woods, they'll be sorry. He thought about the humans for a while and he heard a gunshot. He howled quietly, loud enough for the pack to hear him. He lept down from the hill-cliff thing and ran toward the sound. He lept into a tree and watched uncomfortably. The human came over to the healthy buck and seemed to inspect it? It was pointless. Don't you eat it? Bee-brain. The human then carried the delicious buck away. Faolen couldn't stand the packs food being stolen. But he waited. He waited until he knew he could do it.
[Raven--Deputy]
Raven jumped at the sound of her Alpha calling her name, as if reading her thoughts, but oblidged immediately, falling into step at her Alpha's side. As she listened intently to the worried voice of her Alpha, she listened, absorbed, and thought. She could tell that Kaai was worried; only a dunce wouldn't have been. She began going over different plans in her mind, ones that would work, but would be nearly impossible...but most wouldn't work. As she thought, her eyes noticed the fear coming across Kaai's form, and she felt protective, motherly, even. She leaned her shoulder against Kaai's, as though to steady her body and mind.
"The road ahead may be tough, but you have your pack at your side. I know that they'll do whatever you command, and fight to whatever end. True, this winter has been hard; I can't pick out one pack member that I can't count the ribs on. But we're still here, still fighting. No human menace will slay us, no matter how haughty they may be." she murmured, growling lightly. She tilted her head up to the night sky, breathing in the chilled air.
Rabe sticks to the shadows, slinking along the treeline. She was watching a buck, one that she wanted to chase. She knew the herd would give chase instantly, but this buck would be more fun. Plus he was young and stupid, so he might break away from the herd. She wagged her tail slowly behind her and burst from the bushes. Rabe almost instantly spoons the herd and finds her target. This buck was near the edge of the group. She flanked the herd and came upon the bucks heels. She turned him away from the herd.
This hunt wouldn't be a hunt, but it was more like a chase. She snapped at his heels and growled. She began to fall behind, her stamina not as good as the herbivore's. Rabe chased him until they reached the bottom of the hill. Then she stopped.
