First of all, I'd like to go through the rules and basics of this Role play - but if you do have questions, feel free to PM me or a mini-mod, we'll be happy to help with any thing needed.

* This is a literate role play, up to nine or ten sentences per post per character. One liners will not be welcome here, though if writer's block is eating away your words, that's fine, but we'll know when it is an excuse to break free of writing a good example, and to help with writer's block would be to add in the back ground and thoughts of your character. Grammar is also needed in this role play.

* The CS rules apply here at all times, keep to them, and there won't be any trouble.

* We will warn you if you break a rule, and if it happens again, then it may be a ban from the role play, though it depends whether it was an important rule.

* NO perfect wolves - you may not post something like this 'The wolf lunged himself towards the prey, instantly killing it without struggle' why not have something else happen, give chase maybe, or make the prey escape, or at least have struggle in the attack. This rule also applies that no single wolf can take down a deer without the pack, and then simply drag it to camp, how much larger is a deer to a wolf, and how much does it weigh? Think about it before doing so.

* Everyone dies, gets hurt, or has flaws. You can't live forever, no matter what. If your wolf has pups, a family, so on, then it at least should live an average life, and decease afterwards, nothing lives 300,000,000 years. - Each ten pages is a new month, and every two pages is a new day, I'd keep it in mind.

* The only insults allowed would be the ones located in the 'wolf speak' and so on, if you can make up any yourself.

* If someone asks for a recap, try your best to help them out, if you know any of it. Also, everyone's opinion counts.

* An average wolf has around 5-6 pups in a litter, or more, but keep it around those numbers, and keep up to date with your characters, don't only play the pups.

* Your character cannot be a pup, but you may have a pregnant she-wolf.

* Please, do not be your own mate/crush, it's quite boring.

Now that's that, I'd like to go through a prey-list.

Deer - Common

Deer weigh up to 200 pounds average, and no single wolf would even try to take one down on his or her own. Only four or five wolves will be sent out to hunt if for a deer, but not one wolf alone. They are more common in spring or summer times, scarcely winter.

Rabbits/hares - Very common

Hares and rabbits will only be taken down by the fastest of wolves, broad and heavy weighted will only be slower the pace, though a wolf alone could easily take down a rabbit. Available from most seasons.

Chickens - Rare

Normally located in the farmers coop, though foxes are seen picking them off quite often, it's hard for a wolf to sneak in and kill them without warning squawks for the farmer. Sometimes found living astray in summer time.

Elk - Uncommon

Again, only a group of wolves could take one down, not two or one. Mostly found in spring or summer, scarcely winter times.

Moose - Rare

Same as the deer and elk, normally located in winter or spring.

Caribou - Common
Same as deer, elk and moose, only a group can take one down. Located mostly in summer time.

Rodents - Common
Mostly found in the spring time, the rodents are hard to catch, and barely fill a wolf's belly.


Now it's time for some wolf speak, or 'rude language'.

Fur-ball - A word of insulting matter, normally with humour

Bear-foot - Normally used in conversations stating they wouldn't want to be in a situation between a grumpy, large, dominant wolf, such as 'I wouldn't want to get in a fight with that bear-foot.'

Stick-fur - A rare disease coming from streams you swim, drink, or eat fish from, which can slowly kill a wolf without the help of a healer.

Blinder - An insult on a wolf's eyesight, if it is poorly.

Human-pet - A word for dogs or cats that are let loose into the forest.

More shall be added, but for now, that's all. I suppose I could jump down to the form now.

RECAPS
This one is quite important to follow, it's sort of the main drama at the opening time of this thread -
Foxes, badgers and humans have been scented all around the pack's territory, and once the humans start building, the wolves will start lowering down by number. There are plans for the following winter (the next winter after this one) for leaving, though only ideas and sketches of the journey.

It has been hard keeping up to date with accepting and adding names (gah, the names... I forget'z them within five seconds.) Everything will be tidied up, and the thread will be much, much more purdy (excuse my grammar at the moment, I feel like typing some odd words, meh.) and hopefully more accurate. Tell us about you, what do you like?: "Hm...tricky, I don't like much, only the feeling of what ambition I've filled, and the rise of storms with the drop of still air. I do and I do not like certain things, but I like certain feelings, maybe some...that you will never understand or know of, though I bet I've confused you enough already, no time to explain..."
What do you dislike?: "Oh, now that's something I can answer. I dislike pushy males, they are no more powerful than females, clearly, as you're looking at me. I also dislike those who think they can overrule my word, but come on and fight me if you dare, I won't bite, much. And I also dislike the word 'dislike', why not, hate? Hm? I hate many things, so much I can't take account of. I hate snobs, pointless objections, warnings of things that aren't even possible, I suppose I'm a hater of haters, yet I suppose that makes me one of them, eh, never mind. Anyway, you're making me tired, get on with it."
Your personality?: "I've heard majestic, from some, and some say aggressive - which gets on my nerves, what right do they have? But honestly, most call me a honorable leader, and some say fierce power is all I care about, but how's that? I only do what's best for the pack, no matter how stern my words are - it is so they get it through their furry heads, I lead my pack as any alpha should, strict enough to get it in there and out again, but not enough to crush a wolf's heart; orders are orders, and that's what you'll see most of. Now don't trigger me into thinking you're some softy, only lean and sleek wolves will come into my head in though of this pack, I don't accept much loners, as they are more or less traitors, which is another one of my hates. Some call me too pushy, a bit rude, and others say I'm hiding the fact of my kindness, just to make those listen - which I've said needless times, but I suppose I can be soft, in the inside. It's quite simple to see that I don't mean to be a threat, only a fierce and organised wolf to keep the pack together in one shape, they are like family, each one, but some may be a little too far away to feel that close, not by distance, but by heart and blood. And I suppose I am different, in ways, but isn't everyone? I have strange ways with me, but I hide it behind a blank look, sometimes people manage to go past that stare, and see what's behind, a little bit of a kind, gentle beast."

Your appearance?: "I'm so pretty, la-la-la... no. Some despise looking at me, I've scars from leg to leg, and indeed, only three legs, not four! the only thing that isn't scratched at is my face, but it proves of me a worthy fighter, as much as a leader. I am who I am, and appearance needn't matter, I've battled so much I can barely feel my body any more, though my fur covers the most deepest cuts and bruises, and I've learned to balance on three legs, my thin yet long grey and brown tainted fur hides the cut from underneath, which is now covering up into a scar, and is hardly visible among the rest of my fur, but I don't care about any of it, from bruise or scratch to scar, neither hurt any more, and they are only a distant look of reminders, nothing but old bites and scratches, fine n' dandy now."

Any pups?: "None. I'd need a mate first, and like I said- don't have one."

Tell us about you, what do you like?: "I like having something to do. Being bored is not an option for me. I need to have somewhere to go, and something to do. I also love patrolling and making sure that the boarders are invader-free. Usually I like it when I get some air away from camp, being in a pack is bad enough."
What do you dislike?: "One thing instantly pops to mind: swimming. I don't understand how other wolves can like to get wet. I'm also not a big fan of intense sunlight, having black fur and all. Also I hate immature fights, honestly, learn respect! Also it's foolish to start fights over things that aren't worth a piece of grass. Also humans, I hate them. But what wolf in their right mind doesn't?"

Your personality?: "My personality? Oh well that's going to be a bit hard to explain, since of course you should know that it's hard to see clearly when you're so close to the mirror. Though from what I know, or have heard, I am a very assertive wolf. I am not aggressive, at least not to those within the pack. Though I am not some little pup that you can just push around and tell what to do. I have my opinions and I will stand by what I believe in, no matter what is said against it. At the same time I have a good eye for seeing what other wolves are going through, and I can put myself in their pawprints. I can almost tell when another wolf is feeling a strong emotion, strange, but I have that kind of natural sense about it. Not that I usually am upfront about them about what they might or might not be feeling. Usually I tend to keep to myself, either that or I'll do my job. I don't usually socialize unless it is something that I have to do while I am on the go. If that is not needed than most chances are I will be off doing something on my own. It's not that I'm lonely or anything, so don't think that. It's just that I need a break from everyone else sometimes. They can act like suck idiots sometimes, and I just need a break from them and everything that they think is so important. My father used to tell me that it was my maturity and my wisdom that set be apart from the others, though I'm not sure if he was right or not. Either or, I know how to respect others, and I usually won't rebel against something said by a higher rank, and sometimes not even a lower rank. As long as it makes sense to me, if it's something rash and reckless, I refuse to just sit by."

What song suits you best?: "Uh, well, that's tough... Probably "Enemy" by Sevendust."

Your appearance?: "My appearance is fairly good, at least if I may so myself. I'm not an oversized wolf, in both size and build. Though I stand at about the average height for a brute of my age. Which of course is bigger than the average female. My fur is short, and has a almost glossy tint to it if I'm looked at, while in the sun. My fur is of course, a black. It thins out in deepness and darkness around my face and under my belly, though it's still a very dark color fur. My eyes are a burning amber color that seem to aluminate when I am in the dark of the night. I have some scars from previous battles that have yet to heal. One of them is going down my chest, and the other one is around the ankle of my back right-foot. I have recently got sctrached by a branch, and so I still have a cut on my left eye. Hopefully that will clear up soon."

The large wolf slipped through the snow, her fur tugged up as she backed out of a bramble-thicket - foxes had been near here earlier, and she couldn't help but let out a silent snarl of anger. The trespassing fur - balls! If they had given her the chance to, the fur on their backs may have been torn off by now. She parted her jaws in a yawn, large canines showing and glistening at the lurk of sunlight pinching it's way through the thick clouds. Shaking off her fur she turned to scent around her. 'It seems too silent..' she though briefly, eyes wincing as the sunlight paled brightly through the grey, smudging the sky a bright orange as the snow dazzled with light and cobwebs. Flicking her ears as they lowered down in another quick and quiet yawn, she set off back to camp and let her eyes settle on the few members, the scents of sleeping wolves hitting her glands, perhaps a patrol was to be set out, to check the stiff borders, whatever she couldn't smell, they could. "Tehcno." The she-wolf called out in a slow howl "Would you mind checking the borders for any scents of trespassers, I find it too silent out there. Also, check the river, I need to know if it is frozen solid enough to cross, if it isn't a hassle."

Techno hadn't really slept well that previous night. It had been restless, and everytime that he thought that he was close to sleep, his eyes were jutted open with something that was stopping him from slipping into sleep. So after awhile had had decided to just go out into the camp, and lay down in the cool snow. It was relaxing to him, he didn't like the heat, his fur was a black, and so he attracted unwanted warmth. Soon though he knew that the camp was going to start bussling with the wolves who were likely to wake up and start all the same events of all the days. Talk, hunt, scout, talk, eat, talk, talk, sleep. Techno wasn't an anti-social wolf, but he wasn't a social butterfly either, and most of the wolves in the pack knew this as well, they would have known that he wasn't someone that loved to be the center of attention. He enjoyed doing his job, and that was it. When he heard his name being called, he looked up to see the alpha coming towards him. After hearing what she said he nodded. "It's no trouble at all Kaai. I'll make sure that everything is fine, if everything is as silent as you say most likely we might have something on our paws. Not to worry though," he shook his fur out as he yawned. "And of course, the river will be checked as well." He dipped his head in respect and headed off to start his first job of the day.

Tell us about you, what do you like?: I like shadows, ravens, hunting, the smell of grass and water, the smell of a fresh kill, the moon, the smell of horses, chasing prey, failed hunts, swimming, fishy smells, horse neighs
What do you dislike?: I dislike the sun (it gives me headaches), winter, summer, the smell of rotting meat, the scream of horses, bad manners

Your personality?: Rabe is a quiet shy female. She doesn't like talking too much and mainly depends on sight and smell. Rabe doesn't agree with wolves that eat horses, and has killed another wolf for it. She is very submissive to her pack members. She has a temper towards rude dogs and is very protective under certain circumstances.
And optional, history?: I was born to the omega of the pack. I was always submissive to other wolves, especially the alpha and beta of the pack. I was kicked out after killing a wolf for killing a horse.

What song suits you best?: I'm not completely sure. I don't exactly listen to songs so I wouldn't exactly know a song that suits me. Possibly Let It Be by The Beatles.
