Faolen
Faolen nodded and said quietly, "Thanks...." then he trotted off to the kill pile and dropped the massive buffalo beside the pile so it wouldn't crush the juicy rabbits and squirrels. He looked at his leg and winced as he felt a sharp pain through his shoulder. Another one of his older cuts opened up. He sighed and licked the blood off his shoulder even though it kept bleeding. The leader didn't seem to have eaten anything yet. Maybe I should get her a fish or two to eat, maybe a rabbit to fill her up during work, he thought thoughtfully (lol). He trotted to the river and looked at the fish swimming past him. The buffalo herd fled, obviously, but the moose herd was still there. Nah, a buffalo is good enough, he told himself. He swiped up a fish with his jaws as it stopped to sleep. But this time, he saw it coming and sped out of his jaws just in time. "Rats...." Faolen murmured. He watched again, as a more clever fish pretended to be dead. Faolen knew this trick. He also knew how to trap fish with his paws. Faolen put his two paws in the narrow river, and forced it toward the fish who was too late to move. "So much for clever, fishy" he muttered to the fish before stabbing it with his claw. He noticed it was a female. But he didn't care. He caught another fish after missing several times, and put the two fish in his mouth and carried it to the river. I always liked a snack or two, why shouldn't she? he thought. He dropped the fish at the leaders paws, "A little snack" he said quietly.
