When I woke up, all was still. My first thoughts were I wasn't left behind again, was I? I was glad to find out that Pumpkin and her kits were sleeping, and that Percy was too. I walked outside, with a few peanuts, and down the tree. I sat, in the crisp, chilly morning, anong the dew that swept across the ground, eatin peanuts. I listened to the birdsong, and the gentle rustling of trees as a slight breeze blew through them.
"This is why I'm glad to be gone." I whispeder, as to not disturb the utter peace.

percy woke and came out sitting next to her. "you seem amazed" he said. everything was the same to him. nothing different. the same bird chirps, the same secery the same... well, everything

"Look closely. We get this every day, and we don't even notice how beautiful it is. When I got taken by those miserable humans, I was glad. But when that vulture took me, I was relieved, whether I would have died or not, I'm free now, and there is nowhere lse I'd rather be than here right now, with two friends, in a beautiful place." I sighed, and looked around again, noticing everything, down to the last beautiful deatail.

I woke up to the kits squirming and mewling.

"Percy?" I barked. "Where are those nuts?"

he jumped up and handed her the bag and jumped back out "welll when your born in the wild, i guess nothing much serprises you... it is unusual what were doing you know, forming a group. chinchillas travel as one unless there mates" he said

[Sculi the Ax]

"Oh well... It's ok to be different. And... I was born in the wild, a pet store just took me..." I mumbled something after, but it was inaudible. I sat, adn licked the dew off of the grass. "It even tastes good." I Muttered.
