Eva watched as the shaking Silver touched ground and moved up to her "Your alright." She said warmly through the herbs in her mouth. "I'll give you something later for the nerves if you still need it." She managed to say but coughed from the dryness of the smoke, dropping the herbs to her feet. She shut her eyes tightly but kept her paw from rubbing across them, it would only make it worse. "Don't rub your eyes." She said to them. She turned to Six who just made it over the log and smiled softly, giving him a comforting lick on his ear.

Bear looked at her, understanding why she'd be confused but unable to find the words. Instead, he nodded slightly and turned away to the woods .Should we get moving?" He asked, looking at the smoke from the woods with a saddened look. He shuffled his paws slightly, looking to the others with a brief glance.

My ear flickered at the contact, and I turned my head to smile at Eva. My heart was thumping so fast at the situation, but it all went away at the lick... God, I can't believe I said that! How cheesy... Jeez. "Thanks for the herb's, before... They helped alot." I mumbled with a dry throat, deciding to end the silence in conversation. I didn't even know why; I didn't mind silence. But then again I really needed something to clear my mind. And Eva was interesting. She seemed fun... I didn't know that yet, of course, seeing as how everything went down before we could actually just chill, but still, my argument still stands. I really hope we got to hang out in the future, though, when everything has settled down.

I Searched the area, i was confused and lost. My lungs began to fill with smoke and i could feel the darkness closing in. Was this the end? I saw a small edge of a tall rock. A bit to high for me to jump, but i had to try... if i did

nt make this jump i was done for. Last chance. The flames rawred over me and the heat scorched my fur. My pack was gone and i was alone. I braced myself and crouched down. I pushed my legs off and toward the ledge. I made it. Just barely. My back legs dangled as i attempted to claw my way up. The flames had caught my tail and then quickly faded. My wail of pain was loud but pointless. This WAS the end! My legs could sopport me no more and o closed my eyes. Ready to fall to my death. I prayed that i could some how ne saved but i knew it was no use...

Eva smiled back at Six "Oh, it was no problem." She quietly said as she changed her focused on the alpha and listened for her next orders. She glanced at Six, everything seemed to melt away when she looked at him. The smoke, the fire, the crashing of trees. Wait. That was the only thing that brought her back, the destruction of their territory. Their home. She looked away and to the ground with a sad sigh. "We should get going." She suggested out loud, directed to the alpha. "The smoke is not good for us." She noted and looked to the log they just climbed across.

I gasped as I trudged sluggishly towards the gully. Smoke was filling my lungs with every tired pant as I moved towards the gully. The heat was getting to my head, things were getting fuzzy to me, and I knew that it wasn't just the smoke that was impairing my usually excellent vision. It was the lack of oxygen, it was the fear of losing the pack I had so desperately needed.
I did a stupid thing as I continued to trudge around the trees that were being eaten by the dangerous flames, I began to try and catch the scent of my pack mates in my panic. I took a deep breath, and inhaled a large amount of smoke, much more than I had intended. I choked on it, wasting the precious oxygen that I had usually taken for granted. There was only one thing left that I could do, and I knew it would waste oxygen and if it wasn't heard I would surely die. But this risk was the only thing that would get me out of this horrible situation even if I came out half dead.
I took in an even bigger breath than I had when I tried to scent for my pack, and with that breath I exhaled in a musical tone, a beautiful howl for help travelling through the forest and breaking some barrier of the sound of the crackling, burning wood. Surely someone would hear it as I began to black out, and I felt like more of an idiot as the roar of the nearby waterfall suddenly reached my ears. The gully was so close.
