~A New Life~

Issys managed to slide off his back and look up at the ominous fence. "We... we have to run along the base of the fence until we find a way around." She said. "Or jump over it."

[tommie.]

Ceran smiled at her and his eyes found the ground in a blush. "Edme, I... I like you."

Edme grinned and tipped her head over slightly. Her right ear flopped over as she did so, resting on her head. She wagged her tail and blinked at him. "I like you too, Ceran." She said sweetly, her heart jumping in joy.

Ceran quickly shot his head up and smiled, tail thumping on the ground. "You mean it?" He asked. His heart was swelling up in gladness, to the point that he nearly jumped on Edme.

[tommie.]

Edme nodded and smiled again. "Of course I do! I don't lie." She promised, her eyes bright. She licked his cheek shyly and blushed, looking at her paws.

Ceran shook his head. "No, I just couldn't believe it." He licked her cheek and gazed into her eyes. Everything about her was beautiful, and her shyness was cute. One couldn't ask for a better match.

[tommie.]

Edme smiled again, she couldn't stop. She sat down and curled her tail around her small paws, although it wagged slightly. "I don't see why." She murmured, smiling still.

[exousia]

A smile crept up Ceran's astonished face. "Have you looked at yourself in a while?" He asked. "And you have the loveliest personality of anyone I've ever know."

[tommie.]

Edme blushed deeply and stared shyly into his eyes. "Thanks." She whispered. "Those are the same reasons I like you, really. But I like you also because of how brave you are. You showed me how to have fun and break the rules today, by taking me into the other territory. You're fearless." She finished, looking back at her paws. "I like a lot about you, and I'll stop at that. For now."

Ceran blushed. "Thank you, Edme." He told her. "No one's ever said I was brave before." He paused, looking at the ground for a moment. "Your pretty brave yourself, coming with me."

[tommie.]

Edme shrugged and smiled. "Yea, well. Sometimes all anybody around here needs is a few seconds of insane courage." She said softly, her tail thumping on the ground. "I guess being with you showed me that."
