Kale nodded, acknowledging the fae although his thoughts were elsewhere. He tried to avoid eye contact, every time he did it brought back the dreadful images of her dead expression and empty eyes. Her soulless body, her bleeding face. If it were any other day Kale would tell himself he was silly for being so afraid of a nightmare. But after what had happened with Sierra, seeing Sierra destroy Shila inside out he couldn't get over.

But Kale at least tried to act as if there wasn't anything bothering him. By nodding his head and smiling, in an attempt to pretend nothing was on his mind. But it was more then obvious. Kale's tail twitched nervously, his ears back, his fur on end and his eyes were stricken with fear. So his attempts were useless, as it was clear he was terrified.

Angie sighed and looked at Kale. He heart skipped a beat. Shyly, she padded over to him. "Kale?" She asked, looking into his fear-struck eyes. "Are you ok?"

Yes, I'm fine. Kale opened his mouth to speak those words but that isn't what came out. "No." He almost didn't recognize his voice, it was shallow and weak, lined with fear. Kale's tail began twitching even more, something that could be mistaken as him wagging his tail but if you saw the dreadful expression across his face you could see it was anything but. He tried to sit there for a few moments then he got to his paws. He ran as fast as he could away, his eyes shut tight. Kale was running towards his den, and tears filled his eyes.

Sierra

Sierra stared at Kale in a blood-thirsty manor. It was as if she was going to hunt him. She gently stalked forward, her eyes narrowed she began stalking Kale, trying to kill him with anger.

Kale saw Sierra. "Leave me alone!" he shouted, his fur on end. He didn't think before he acted, his thoughts were muffled by his hatred. Kale leaped at her, his teeth baring. He dug his teeth into her front leg, hatred fueling his attack. It was the worst time Sierra could have ever showed up, any other time he would have handled his anger. But not now. Now he wanted no more then to see her die.

Sierra's weak body easily fell to the ground, her arm in his mouth. She was too weak to slip it out. She was too weak to do anything. She hadn't eaten or slept in days and now? She just wanted revenge, yet she knew she couldn't. Why did I even attempt this? She asked herself. She looked up at Kale with her big blue eyes, showing the side that had once loved him.
