He stood up and attempted to roar like his father did once trying to convince Mau to behave. It was a small roar, but it wasn't as pathetic as Mau's "MRrrraeaar!".

He smiled and puffed out his chest. He trutted off and went to hunt some meerkat.

Mau grumbled and stared at Zario's mane. "How come he has the roar, the mane, and the love that I don't have?" He asked his sisters. "And he gets to go out. Why not us?"

"because you're too young. Zario is old enough to at least claw at the enimy's eyes and make it actually hurt for a while. Plus I can trust him to leave and come back without going into any trouble." Zeeku answered licking his paws.

Nyx pinned her ears at her father's response. They were all the same age, if not separated by a few minutes! She hunched her shoulders a little more and ran her claw along the dirt at he opening of the cave and drew some pictures.

Aero got up and stretched. "Well, they seem old enough to live without me for a few minutes. She flashed a smile at Zeeku. "I'll go hunt" She told him and trotted off

Aero smiled and saw a small zebra wandering around. There was no herd in sight and Aero smiled. She crept up through the long, sandy brown grass doing her best to hide with her fur and was careful to stay downwind from the prey. She sprang up and ran for the zebra who started running away. Aero ran flat out and was gaining on the animal

Nyx looked up at her father and then at the ground again before standing up and walking to the back of the cave again, avoiding the heat the sun was emitting
