Aero flicked her ear. "What do you mean?"

Nyx hissed and clawed Zario before dashing off through some bushes and towards the cracked earth

zario raised his tail. "No wonder dad will make me ruler of the pride. I'm the only mature one!" he muttered. He stormed to his den.

"I told her that letting us let that stranger's pride take over was serious" he told her. "She said I didn't know serious and I didn't care about her." he growled. "Now I don't I regret having cubs. Why couldn't our cubs have been more mature?"

Aero shrugged. "They're just at the age where they want to see everything and have all their questions answered. When you treat them too seriously, they get upset. I remember being that age" She tried to ignore the small stab of pain in her chest whenever their cubs misbehaved and shook her head. "We could try again and see if the next ones are better" She offered with a playful smile

"I know.. but times at this are serious." He sighed. "I mean they have to know that if they see danger then flee. Don't go towards it and try to play with it."

Aero flicked her tail. "Yes, but no one's taught them that as well as we were" She looked out into the grassland. "I think we overlooked that"

He sighed and nuzzled her. "I understand..."

Aero pinned her ears unhappily and looked at her paws. "I'm sorry" She said

Nyx wasn't planning on going to the cracked earth and turned back to the territory her father had and walked along the edges of it, looking for a place to stay. She wasn't going back- not yet.

Zeeku turned and padded back to the den. He licked Zario in pleasure that he was the only one who stayed. He curled up. "Find your siblings. I need to tell you all something." he ordered. Zario nodded and ran off.
