The mare nickered softly, lowering her head as she examined the patch of grass before her; patchy and short. Not even worth trying to eat. She prodded at it with a single dark hoof and scraped roughly until the dark earth beneath was exposed.
She lifted her head, flicking her harks. She was sure she'd just heard something or someone but the thought faded and she returned to trying to graze.

A cool breeze whipped over Shylight. I hope there are no stallions in that direction, or they'll find me.. She thought nervously. She flicked her gaze in that direction and heard a stallions neigh. Uh oh.. Shylight didn't flee, wouldn't do any good anyway. She wondered if there as a fight going on, but she didn't hear the beating of hooves. She walked to the edge of the sloped hill and spotted a lone stallion.

Catalyst turned his attention over to a mare on the hill, of course, she had noticed him. He nickered to her, to make sure he caught her eye. And started to show-off, by cantering around in a tight circle.

Shylight watched as this strange stallion showed off. She slightly relaxed and watched, her ears flicking in amusement. Then she turned around and pulled herself up the hill to graze quietly on a patch of tall clovers.
