ø Malachite ø
Malachite's pale green eyes snapped open as a cloud moved out of the way of the sun. A beam of sunlight hit him right in the face as the shadow of the cloud disappeared. He squinted his eyes and his pupils shrunk to tiny dots as he was practically was staring in the sun. He let out a small and low growl as he turned his head to protect his eyes from the sun. Malachite's pelt began to prickle up because of the cold temperature. Even though it was sunny, it was darn cold out. He pushed himself up at all fours before lowering the front half of his body to the ground while keeping his flank and behind in the air, stretching. His jaws pried themselves open as a yawn forced its way out. Malachite remained in his stretch position for a few moments, allowing his muscles to stretch and 'wake up'. After returning to his normal stature, he steadied himself before shaking his pelt out. His coat was returned to its normal fluffiness and dirt and other debris were shook out. Malachite sat back down on the grassy surface that he had slept on before his eyes scanned the camp. To his observations, Kayanne was the only one that was awake at this time. The brute contemplated if he should wait for others to wake up before going over to greet her. She was on the rock that she always went to when she gave news. Malachite shook his head and made his decision. He picked himself up and padded over to Kayanne, his footfalls landing softly on the cool ground. He stopped a few feet short from the rock and sat his haunches down on the cool ground in front of the rock. Malachite dipped his head to Kayanne and swiveled his ears to the side of his head, showing respect to his alpha. "Good morning Kayanne." The young brute said quietly, tiredness still showing an edge on his voice.
