Haiti smiled at the dog.She got up and jumped on her back,she didn't way too much,so hopefully it would bug her.She jumped of and laughed.

Tom looked around at the eager dogs, then waved them in. He got a good hold of the hose and switched it on, aiming at the top first to prevent the building from collapsing.
Meanwhile inside smokey dodged sparks and took advantage of every window for air. She went for the children's rooms first, coming out with a small baby in her mouth and a skinny ten year old clinging to her back. She set the down by pongo and went back in with her head ducked low under the smoke

Pongo saw that they were concuos and stopped licking and kept them company

The infant cried, either hungry or scared or both, and the young girl was hugging pongo's neck and crying of fright.
Smokey bolted around, searching for the remaining family members. She heard fierce coughing and went towards it. She found a women crouched over, covered in soot and coughing horribly. She padded over and nudged the woman from behind. The woman eventually figured out what smokey was doing and followed her quickly, still coughing madly.
