Tailo could only nod as he lowered his mass completely, shifting to his side. His rouge flanks heaved with every painful breath, gulping the fresh air. Maybe about an hour of this would get him on his feet again.

Levi looked at Shadows face when he saw his sister with blood on her flank, the moment shadow galloped towards the flames Levi bolted after him, "It's okay Shadow, she's alive, she's just.. sleeping." he wanted to put it in the best way possible without telling him the humans shot her. He nudged Shadow back towards the herd, "Come on, let's get back to the herd." he said, then mumbled, "we don't want to have to go through that again."

Saba could hear her brother take off crying, she wished she could tell him that she's okay, but her body wouldn't let her.

Dakota leaned closer towards Crispin and let the tears come.

He nodded and followed his dad back, although he didn't believe him. As soon as he was back he went over to Tailo and nudged him sadly. He tried not to look at his sister, but his gaze flickered over to her anyways. He snorted and laid down next to Tailo.

Levi kept at a steady pace by Shadow, making sure he didn't turn and run. Once they safely got back to the herd he walked over to Carter, smiled and muzzled her neck.

She whinnied and stuttered, not knowing where she was she was surrounded in smoke and couldnt see anything, or hear enything she wished tailo would be near or at least ok. She whinnied again and reared trying to see over it but could not, as she stepped back she stood on something hard and metal makinga big cut down her hind leg, it wasbleading excesivly, she looked around panicky.

Pumpkin saw everyone 'KEEP YOU HEAD LOW! MAKE SURE YOU DONT BREATHE IN THE SMOKE!' she headed towards them, she had been in a fire before, and they always said keep your head low

Peanut saw his mother and quickly went over 'mommy! im scared'

Pumpkin nuzzled him and said 'dont worry' before looking around 'We all need to go! Now'

Levi looked around.. someone was missing, Buttermilk!Levi could hear a small whinny from not too far away, "Tailo, stay here with Saba, Shadow, Cater, and Duli! I'm going in!" Levi looked at all of them and nodded then took off for the trees. "Buttermilkl!" he yelled over and over again, he heard another whinny from not too far away, he tan towards it. He could now see Buttermilk, but the fire was in the way of getting to her, she was trapped. Levi took a few steps backwards then lunged forward through the flames at Buttermilk, "Come on! This way!" Once he had gotten to Buttermilk he saw a small opening in the fire. He hadn't noticed that when he jumped through the flames, his left back leg had went through the fire, not over, most of the hair was gone and he had fresh burns.
