Saphira padded over to him and said, "How were Comet and Orion doing when I was gone?" She stared down at her paws and said, "Sniper wanted to talk to me. Sorry, I didn't come sooner." She said as she laid down by him.

Jacob smiled and nodded, drooping his head back over his paws as the two pups jumped over his back like it was a hurdle.

Saphira smiled as the pups climbed all over Jacob's back. She noticed somebody had filled up her dog bowl with food. She got up and padded over to the bowl as she scarfed down the kibble.

Comet spotted something long at slithery by the door of the kennel and as Jacob dozed off he hopped off his back and bounded outside. After poking his nose around in some grass he was startled by a loud hiss and began to look for the source.

Orion had fallen asleep by Jacob's side. After finishing her meal, Saphira trotted back over to where Jacob and the pups were. She was about to lay down next to them until she noticed Comet was missing. "Jacob, where's Comet!?" She said frantically.

Jacob sat up quickly and glanced around, "He was here"

A sudden yelp from outside the kennel was the only answer they needed.

Saphira burst out of the kennels and skidded to a halt. "Comet? Comet, where are you?" She called out.

Comet gave a gentle yap and wagged his tail, under his paws lie a non toxic snake that was attempting to wriggle free. The pup wore two spin prick like marks on his muzzle but he seemed unfazed.

Jacob bounded after her, skidding to a halt infront of Comet, Orion had followed him and seemed intrigued by this giant worm.

Saphira gave a sigh of relief as Comet seemed to be fine."Well, it looks like Comet will turn out to be a real fighter." She said with a smile as Orion went over to the snake and started pawing it.
