Jacob gave a harsh yelp and backed off, raising his paw to his head he tried to scratch out the pain, "I need a vet…" he gulped, bolting past his buddies and heading for base, Sniper stopped him with a forceful paw, "Woah there Jake!" she warned, taking in the abrupt apperence of her old friend she caught sight of the wound on his leg, "Are you ever not getting hu- Is that?" she asked, fear washing over her dull coat, "IZZIE!" she yelled, takin a step back.

Chief and Jaeger were both standing on opposite sides of Jacob, snarling their hearts out. Neither of them understood the situation, they just knew they had to protect each other. JD joined his brothers, soon after, Voe stepped forward. She was a large female, but she was thin, her hips poked out and she was very, very tired. "You know very well the vets would just shoot you, kid." she said softly as she stood beside her snarling son, Chief.

Jacob had bolted past them and ran towards base to get medical help. Saphira slowly sat down and stared at her paws. She didn't understand. What wasn't he telling her? Why did he attack Jaeger? She said nothing as she felt a bit shocked.

It took a moment for Voe to calm down her sons, all three of them slightly shaken up. Jaeger wouldn't admit it, but it was terrifying to be knocked down by a larger dog. Chief and JD were running on adrenaline, both of them panting loudly and trembling. "Saphira, I'm going to make sure our Jacob doesn't eat anyone else." It helped to have a sense of humour. With that, she loped off after Jacob.

Izzie was over in a flash, she saw Jacob but Jacob would always be Jacob who cared, "Whats up?" she asked, a frown setting in, "Juh- Jacobs got rabies!" she yelped, pointing an acusing paw at him. Jacob cast his gaze down to the gravel floor, "Guys… I need a vet" he pointed out quietly. Izzie was starin at him, "You idiot!" she snapped, ears flattening against her skull, "Get in there!" she ordered, pushing him into the vets clinic. Jacob saw the vets, they all seemed… calm. Calmer than they had before he left, they gave him an injection which he nervously accepted. As the dizziness washed over him he leant on Izzie for support before everything went black.

Voe was never one to make a big deal out of situations that could be fixed. She slipped into the base, loping calmly towards the kennel areas. A quick once over saw that Jacob wasnt in a kennel, so she hopped up onto the chair outside of the vets office and peered into the window, just watching.

Saphira stood up, slowly, and looked over her shoulder at the pups. She sighed and bounded towards base. Whatever was going to happen to Jacob; she was going to be there for him. As she reached the base, she saw Sniper. Running up to her, she folded her ears and said, "Hi..Sniper...is Jacob here?" She hoped Sniper wouldn't start asking questions on where they all had gone.

Sniper was still shell shocked, her eyes wide and brimming with salty tears, "The scandles gone now… everything's better… you can come home?" Sniper asked, she almost sounded desperate but Sniper was tough, she couldn't be desperate… could she? With a forced shake of her head a smiled seemed to stitch it's way cross her muzzle, "He's in there" she replied finally as she pointed a quivering paw at the vet building.

Saphira was confused about the sudden pour of emotions coming from Sniper. "Thanks, Sniper.." She softly said as she went towards the building. She saw Voe watching through a window. She went up to her and peered through the window as well. "I-I don't know what I would do if I lost him...." She slowly said.

Izzie was sat beside the operating table, her ears alert and listening. This was what had happened to her and she was desperate to find out what “this” was. Izzie couldn't help but look away as injection after injection was rammed into Jacobs wound. With a yelp Jacob almost stirred back to life only for him to fall helplessly asleep again. Limbs twitching gently and chest rising an falling, it seemed natural but… then there was the wires which pumped blood into his healthy leg and the wire that sucked both the blood and infection from his injured leg, "I do care…" Izzie muttered as she slipped out of the door.
