Voe lifted her head slightly, bright amber eyes on Saphira as she stretched out and responded. "Probably having a run, dear. He always was very active." She said softly as she settled back down and put a paw over her muzzle. "He's a big boy now. He can take care of himself."

Jaeger, JD and Chief had since left the adults that they had found, and gone to explore the rest of the woodland. All three of them had their noses to the ground, inhaling the scent of sheep, other wildlife and humans. "JAEEEGERRRRRR" Chief howled before leaping forward and darting off, returning just as fast before he ran off again. "Chief, you're an idiot." Jaeger grumbled.

Jacob's paced slowed down as he became satisfied of the distance he had put between him and the others. Tears flooded down his face, his fur giving them a gentle tint of black before fading into golden. The night was unforgiving even in the forest and the rain hit him hard, soaked to the bone and completely alone he dragged his worthless body over to a rock and sat down beside it. At the sound of claws and paws on the rock he swung his head up and came face to face with a wolf. Wait, no. This was a German shepherd, "Jaeger? No, your not Jaeger are you?" he asked, raising himself onto all fours to protect himself against the new comer, "Aw heck no!" it replied, it had a very noticeable Western accent. Jacob couldn't help but chuckle.

Chief couldn't avoid trouble if his life depended on it. He ignored the warnings that Jaeger was dishing out for him, telling him to slow down, telling him to come back and stay with his brothers. Nope. He ran forward one last time and charged straight into the backlegs of another dog. He bounced back the way he came, landing on his back before he stared up at the strange German shepherd male. It didn't look like Jacob, nor did it look like his mother. Who the hell was this? "Sorry, bro."

Saphira slowly nodded her head in reply to Voe. "Yes, out for a run...that's what he's doing...of course." A nerve of doubt still pricked her as she could feel her heart racing. Something was wrong. She looked off into the forest as a few squirrels chased each other up a tree.

The black German shepherd spun in place and smiled lightly, "Aw now, don't fret your panda socks off! How was y'all to see me now? It's it dark aftr' all!" he replied, looking Cheif up and down, Jacob pressed against the rock, his heart thundering against his rib cage, 'Grrreat! Chief's bound to find me!' he thought, pinning his ears back. Well, what's a dog to do? Summoning the last of his energy he crouched low and shot off through the trees, jumping them took more energy than he felt like he had but when he stumbled upon the remanins of a cave and some dead dogs he knew where he was and how far away he was. Was that… a fire? Jacob slipped inside the cave to be greater by a fire and none other than Tom himself, "Stay back!" Tom warned, with a flash of Jacobs leg he settled a few feet away from Tom. Saphira didn't want Tom anymore, so here was just perfect.

Chief rolled onto his side and stood up, shaking himself off before he approached the much larger shepherd, tail wagging behind him. "You look like my brother, 'cept you're probably waaaaay less grumpy." He chuckled, head whipping to the side when he heard Jacob crash off. "Someone else...?"

"You know what..that's it. I have to go." Saphira said partially to Voe but mainly to herself. Without another word, Saphira bounded off towards the forest where she last saw Jacob run off to. Trees whizzed past her side vision as she soared through the dark forest. She came to an abrupt halt as she saw Chief and another German Shepherd chatting. She slowly crept up to the two and curiously asked, "Chief...who is this?"

The black German shepherd gave a chuckle before he two caught Jacob dashing off, "Yup'! He was German shepherd, like you and me but… he seemed off?" he replied, turning his attention to the younger dog, "Why? D'ya know him?" Just like that another dog turned up, only she was an Akita, "Well howdy miss, the names Tyke, Tyke junior to be precise. And you?"

Soldier looked back at Jaeger as she left Artec and Shay, she watched the three, she wanted to tag along but wasn't sure she was welcome. She sighed her ears going flat against her skull. She shook out her black and white coat.

Saphira narrowed her eyes at the stranger and replied, "Saphira is my name. The German Shepherd...where did he run off to?" She said, worry clouding her face. "Did he say anything?" She added.
