Sam's deep chocolate brown eyes snapped open as the hot sun's rays beat down harshly on his back. He squinted his eyes at the bright light, letting them adjust and his pupils to dilate. A yawn pried the stray's jaws open as it forced its way out of his maw. The German Shepherd slowly pushed himself up to his paws and gently hopped off the bench that he had previously been resting on. He shook his coat out, sending dust and loose debris flying everywhere. A few particles of dust found themselves in Sam's nose, causing the dog to sneeze rapidly several times. After steadying himself once again, the brute padded over to the park's trash can. Large and strong muscles rippled under his coat as he walked, easily being seen from the outside. When the stray made it to the garbage can, he hopped up and placed his front paws on the rim on the can to keep himself up. Sam edged closer to it and craned his neck to peer in. His jet black nose twitched frequently, in taking the many scents. A half eaten hot dog lie right on top. The German Shepherd shut his jaws around the meat and bun before letting his fore legs and paws fall back down to the soft grass below. Sam trotted back over to the bench with his head and tail held high proudly as he carried his 'prize.'

I stepped through the park, searching for tonights dinner. I picked up my feet quickly and set my pace into a run as i held my head high. The scent of pizza wafted towards me. I padded towards the scent to find a pizza parlor. The owner had just set out expired pizza, still warm. I licked my lips and grasped the two pizza boxes between my jaws. I began to pad through the city.

Sam quickly finished his hot dog, it barely made a dent in his hunger. Another hunger pang twisted in his stomach as it gurgled. The stray let out a low growl before forcing himself back up to his paws and gently hopping off the bench. His tail swished side to side as he made his way through out the park, attempting to find more food to cure his appetite. The scent of a pizza came swirling towards him and found its way up his nose. The brute's tail wagged slowly a few times before returning to its normal state. The German Shepherd trotted closer to the source for the scent. As he rounded the corner to the old pizza parlor, he spotted two pizza boxes lying out by the back door, indicating that they were nothing but trash. The young stray licked his lips and padded towards them. As he got about halfway, another dog swooped in and grabbed them. Sam let out a frustrated growl and followed after the canine. "Are you going to share that?" Sam said, it coming out as a sharp and loud bark.[/quote]

I swear it was weird. I turned and looked at the male.'nope.' I said in a lazy, casual tone. I began to pick up my pace and run 'want some?follow me!' I laughed as I called it out. I shot forward, running through the streets. I smiled 'cute dog.' I thought 'now if only he'll follow me!'

Sam growled again and trotted after her. "Well why not? I don't see why you need two pizzas." His speed grew as hers did. The brute ran swiftly after her as she taunted him, asking him to follow her. The young stray followed the fae for a bit, but then realized where he had recognized her from. The fae ran with the local pack. For all he knew she could be leading him into a trap. Now Sam didn't want any trouble at this moment. The German Shepherd quickly swerved into an alley and out the other end. 'I'll find some other food.' Sam thought to himself silently with a small growl as he made his way away from the female. The brute padded back to the pizza parlor and searched around the back door, seeing to see if there was anymore scraps. The stray pushed a few pieces of trash around with his muzzle, seeing if there was any food underneath. All he could come up with was a piece of crust. He held the crust tightly in his jaws as he trotted out of the alleyway.

Akira nodded. "Its better than I could have ever imagined..." she whispered, looking around at the dumped place. She had never been in a house... She yawned softly, then padded to a corner, laying on the cold tile. She started to shiver slightly.
