Blaze padded out of his den, and followed them silently. A tear slid down his cheek, and he ran back to his den. He whined softly, then padde out of the alley. He heard squealing, and suddenly a yelp was let loose, and everything was black.

Carson got up shyly."Um,okay.I want to tell you something.Now,I may not have the best rank,I can't promise everything will be perfect about me,I may not be the most attractive dog you will ever see,but I have the biggest heart,and I'm willing to give you my heart if you are willing to do the same for me."

Blaze awoke, and saw human crowded around him. He snarled and they ran. Blaze sat up and whined. He moved and fell, landing on his broken back right paw. He let out a howl, and got up again.

Carson smiled."I love you,"He licked her cheek.

Blaze whined and collapsed. His leg hurt imensly, and he had caught a flicker of their conversation. A tear slid down his cheek. "Why could I have asked her! Chicken!" he snarled to himself, as more tears spilled down his cheeks, into the puddle of blood from his leg.
