Blue Mountain Pack -New and Accepting-

Skye narrowed her eyes at the fast approaching figures. "W-west side halfway down." She said distractedly. She barked quickly in askance of what was wrong.

.:Kai:.

Kai did not waste his breath barking back. He lengthened his stride and skidded to a stop next to her. "Strange wolves approaching, Skye. Maybe attacking within the next two days." He panted a little. "We must warn the others."

.:Skye Blue:.

Skye nodded and a determined expression came over her features. She stepped forward and raised her chin, howling long and loud. She was careful to stand where the howl could not echo enough to alert the other approaching pack.

Averill
Averill slid to a stop beside Kai, catching his breath as he made his report.

“I’ll gather the fighters,” he suggested, nodding towards his fellow fighter Rengi, “but the other wolves will have to train too. Everyone should be prepared for a fight.”

Ruelle
Ruelle narrowed her eyes. Other packs rarely made travelled this far up the mountain; perhaps they were intentionally looking to cause trouble with the pack. She sat back down, looking around for her packmates to respond to Skye’s call.

.:Skye Blue:.

Skye nodded to Averill. "Good lad. Ruelle, I will need you to run after the others. Tell them to bring what they've got and come back. We will need everyone. Rengi and Averill, you will be in charge of training the rest. Go!" She stormed away after snapping the orders and growled in her throat. It was ages since her last fight and she wasn't looking forward to it. She snapped at Kai to join her in her den.

Kai straightened his back at her orders. This was when he most admired Skye, and he walked briskly to her den. He entered and yapped quickly, asking he was needed for. "Planning." Was her sullen answer. Despite her quick mind she was often withdrawn during this stage of the battle. He ignored her tone. "Training will commence at the bottom of the mountain as soon as Fade and the others can be located. Fighters will be briefed in a moment." His tone implied complete confidence, though he was yet to confirm much. He left the den and barked at Rengi and Averill to start preparation for training.

Fade nodded to Skye and he turned. "Alright, pay attention!" Fade said as he rushed down steep slopes of ice and rock. His nimble paws and lithe body made this familiar path so easy to him. Once he got to a stable ledge, he looked up to where his followers where. They were slower, probably not used to take this hunting trail. He also waited to see if the sheer ice would give injuries. When everyone caught up, he nodded and went on to the next sheer path of ice and rock. Once down to the next ledge, the trek wouldn't be bad. Making sure everyone was okay, he went ahead. Here on the mountain, the steep slopes lot less treacherous, and a evergreen forest was here. Still rocky and icy though, prey would be coming out to gather the last chance of food before winter slammed. He stopped, knowing everyone in his group was safe. When splitting hunting groups, it was normal for the leading wolf to howl to the other group or groups. Depending on the tone of the howl, it would tell you if they were okay. Fade lifted his dark muzzle to the sky, and howled to Skye. "Is everything good and everyone safe?" He awaited the howl back.

Skye heard the howl but didn't howl back. Muttering to herself she nodded to Ruelle. "Go now, tell them."

"Come on, Rengi," Averill murmured, leading the other wolf a little ways off from the others. There they could wait for the rest of the pack to arrive while discussing battle tactics.

Ruelle
"On it," Ruelle called, already bounding off. She encountered Soul and Accalia some ways off, having brought down a young moose between the both of them.

“Back to camp immediately,” Ruelle ordered. “An enemy pack has been scented. Bring whatever you’ve caught.” She didn’t need to say more, the mention of an enemy pack was urgent enough news to raise the hackles of her packmates and send them hastening back to camp. Scenting the air and confirming that the pack was all gathered back at camp, Ruelle hurried back as well. The cold breeze continually blew faint whisps of unfamiliar wolf scent to her and she lifted her lip in a snarl.

{Umm Winta was feeding the pups right? The rest of the wolves set out to hunt, but an enemy pack was scented so they're all gathering back at camp now. There's going to be battle training ^^}
