Sammy made it back to the den where Kyle and Jani were, in no time. She dropped the dead fish down infront of them before licking her lips clear of blood. "Eat is sparingly, it may be a while before we get another catch as good as this. " She said and ripped the fish into small pieces for the pups.

Kyle wagged his tail excitedly when he saw the big fish. It was huge compared to them, the fish was the size of their own body. "Yummy!" He said aloud and snapped up a small piece of the fish's tail, he chewed on it for a few seconds before swallowing the mouthful of fish down fully.

Kai grinned at him. "Depends on which group is uneven. I really couldn't say." He then turned, and stepped quickly towards the mountain, not wanting to be left behind since they were sure to have started.

.:Skye Blue:.

Skye nodded in Ruelle's direction. "I will take Rengi and Ruelle, along with any stragglers. That leaves the others to follow Fade." She sat down, and waited for them all to go. She motioned to Ruelle and Rengi to sit as well.

Averill
Averill hastened after Kai after hearing Skye’s command, his paws sinking slightly in the snow before he regained his footing. Running on snow was definitely not one of his fortes, given his bulkier frame. As he moved, he sniffed the air, scenting for any possible prey.

Ruelle
Ruelle nodded, sitting as well. She shivered, peering up at the pale blue sky. It looked like snow would be coming soon, earlier than expected. It was crucial for the pack to gather enough prey to keep up their strength. She turned her attention back to Skye, keeping her ears pricked for any other approaching wolves.

Jani was thrilled that they had something to eat. She took chunks of the fish and ate ravenously. To her, it was the best thing she'd ever tasted in a long time. "Thanks Winta! It's delicious!" she yapped. Mmmmmm... breakfast.

Skye smiled at Ruelle, and saw two figures loping towards them. "That should be Kai and Averill." She grinned, and stood up - nodding at Fade to depart.

He turned his neck as he raced, and looked back at Averill. "C'mon!" Kai did not turn back again, but he slowed. He raised his nose up into the cold air and breathed deeply. He could smell them. A pack advancing towards them. They weren't close, they were taking their time, but they were definitely coming. His eyes widened and he doubled his pace, needing to get to Skye as soon as he could.

Averill
Averill stiffened as the scent of unfamiliar wolves washed over him. Kai's quickening pace told him the older brute had caught the same scent, and Averill lengthened his stride as well. He could see Skye and the rest of the pack in the distance; they had to be warned before a confrontation with the other pack could take place.

Ruelle
Ruelle stretched, excited at the prospect of action. She moved forward to stand by Skye, beckoning Rengi over as well.

"Where will we be hunting today?" she asked, following Skye's gaze to Kai and Averill's swiftly approaching figures. The fur on the back of her neck prickled as she watched her loping packmates; something about their urgent strides didn't seem right.
