Nanook growled something to himself, and looked up at the moon. He smirked, and looked around his dark, and empty den. He then sighed, and curled up into a ball, and left a space for where his mate was supposed to be. He closed his eyes, and tried to go to sleep- but couldn't.

[Mrs. Potter]

Akira could smell Nanook. She padded to his den slowly. She was shivering, it was freezing and she had no den, hers had been destroyed, but she didnt tell him about it, she didnt want to worry him. She was shivering so badly, her pelt brushed againdt his. She lay at the back of his den, the warmest part. She thought he was asleep...

He opened his eyes, and looked over at Akira. He blinked, then asked, "What are you doing in here?" he asked it gently, though. He had a look on his face that was confused.

[Mrs. Potter]

Akira yelped, hitting her head on the wall. "I... uh..." she tried to think of an excuse, but couldent. She was still shivering... "My... d...dens cracked an...d im f... fre... freezing..." she studdered.

Nanook nodded, "Okay, you can stay in here; I won't let anyone in my pack freeze to death." He smiled slightly, and looked outside of the den, watching the wind blow.

[Mrs. Potter]

"Thank you..." she whispered, warming up already. She wondered if he felt the same way she did about him...
