"Yah... I wonder..." Smokesky looked back at were Rippleriver disappeared. She sighed, she had always thought Riverclan cats were the prettyest of the four clans. With their sleek fur. And common blue eyes.
"No wonder its said Greystripe fell in love with a Riverclan cat, did you see how sleek her fur was..." Smokesky muttered.

Thunderbolt lean close to Somkesky so that his nose almost touched hers


"Your fur is sleek too" he purred "and your ten times as pretty as any Riverclan cat"

Smokesky felt heat radiate off her, "You don't mean... but thats..." she couldn't find any way to respond.
She turned away and looked at her paws, "Thank you," she said sheepishly, "I'm flattered,"
She studied Thunderbolt closely for the first time. His yellow eyes were what caught her off guard.

Just then Whitestar appeared


"Whats going on here, we've been waiting for you two for hours" she hiss "And why are you two all wet?" she asked looking at Thunderbolt and Smokesky

Smokesky sat up, "I sort of.... um... saved him from drowning..." she said.

"Thunderbolt!" Whitestar ran to her son and licked his ears

"Are you ok?" she mewed


"Yes, I'm ok mother" said Thunderbolt taking a step back


"How did you fail in" Whitestar asked


"I...well...I was looking at the fish and leaned over too far and fell in" he mumbled


Whitestar then turned to face Smokesky



"Thank StarClan you were here to save him" Whitestar purred "You save my son's life, thank you Smokesky"


"May we stay here for a while and dry off, I don't want the others knowing I fell in" Mewed Thunderbolt staring at his paws looking embarrassed


"Ok, said Whitestar "I'll just tell the others that you two went hunting, so you better remember to bring some prey back with you" She smiled and walked away

Smokesky smiled, "it was nothing," she said. She nodded, "we'll catch a few things," she said as Whitestar walked off.
"you rest and dry off I'll go hunt" she said to Thunderbolt before sniffing the air.

Storm kit pranced around and saw Bloom kit,Storm kit was lucky to have a friend like her both young and intellegent.

"I'm feeling a lot better now" Thunderbolt said smiling at Smokesky "But, I should dry off before I go hunting"



"Don't go too far away now" Thunderbolt purred "and if you need me just call"

Bloomkit yawned, she looked over at Stormkit and smiled "I'm going to sleep Stormkit."She mewed as she padded towards the nursery.
