Shadow limped over to the cub, and nudged her away from the edge. "Be careful!." Then Shadow limped down to Rose, "You need help, come on let's get you back to the pack." Shadow leaned against Rose and supported her body the whole trip, wondering if the pup was going to follow.

Rose hesitated and pulled away from Shadow."Shadow..I nearly killed you,I don't want to put you in anymore danger"she said."I'm going to stay here,even if it kills me"she said.As she left she called,"Take care of the pup,Shadow!".

Feather looked at Shadow and instintaly liked her.She seemed friendly and her voice was calm.Feather scrambled underneath Shadow and looked up at her."Be my mama?"she said quietly.

Shadow
Shadow smiled at the pup, "Okay, you wait here, I need to talk to Rose." Shadow limped after Rose, "It wasn't your fault, I slipped! Besides I'm still breathing, just please come back to pack!"

Rose turned and snapped at Shadow."Iv'e made my decision go away"she said hastily,though she felt sorry for Shadow.She didn't want to drive her away but she had almost killed her,she didn't want to cause anymore injuries.She turned and walked away briskly,ignoring the pain in her legs and paws.

"You'll die out here, you are coming with me you need help so stop it, it was my fault. I tried to go over the 'easier' way, I wasn't following you!" Shadow growled at Rose, and then to Feather she said, "Come on little one, you and Rose are coming back to the camp with me, and Rose that's an order." Shadow started walking, expecting the pup and Rose to follow.

Rose looked at Shadow and spat angrily when she turned.Feather follow Shadow quietly,looking back to see if the other wolf would follow.Rose glared angrily at Shadow and the cub one last time before turning away and disapearing again.She hated leaving the pack and her friends but the area had to many haunting memories of Oak.

Shadow sighed when Rose trotted/limped away, "Come on pup, what did you say your name was?" Shadow smiled kindly at the Feather.

"I'm Feather"yapped Feather joyfully."What's your name?Where are we going?What's it like?"she growled curiously.

Rose looked around and seemed confused.Mist? she kept thinking.It's misty here .She looked around for something to eat and a place to stay.

Shadow laughed, "My name is Shadow, We are going to the pack, and I think you'll like it there." Shadow said padding along the mossy ground of the forest, mist swirling around her paws. "Almost there, little bird." (Shadow had decided to make a nickname for the pup, since the pup's name was feather, she called Feather, little Bird.)
