Gypsy heard a noise. She awoke yet again and got to her paws, carefully so she doesn't awake Bird. Gypsy leaped out the window she saw Midnight and Bird go through the in the morning. She sniffed about knowing this time what she was smelling definitely wasn't Bird.

As Gypsy kept moving the scent got stronger and stronger, she knew that the stranger couldn't be far. She wondered slightly what she was doing tracking down strangers, its not like she was any more then a stranger just yesterday.

She looks around at all the sleeping dogs. She wondered why she couldn't sleep. Lyric closed her eyes, willing herself to go into that dark place. But rest never came. She sighs, and gets up, shaking her pelt. Lyric looks around, and, seeing she woke noone, she sits near a window. She perks her ears to a figure moving below, (Sinclair) and barks a quiet woof to him.

He rolls over onto his back, still asleep. His tongue lolls out of his mouth. This place was like heaven. He was in a field, bones scattered here and there. Dogs everywhere, littering the grass like flowers. Scents filled his nose, and dogs were practicing hunting on plump bunnies. He barked softly in his sleep, turning onto his side.

Miley paced around in her cage, fur rubbing against the metal bars keeping her in. She hadn't been able to get sleep the night before, and probably not this one either. It was the other dogs, barking their heads off. "Shut up!" she barked finally, but of course this didn't help. They continued barking. Growling, Miley sat down.

Suzuki walked along the sidewalk, her nose on the ground snuffling for anything she could find. She lifted her head, smelling... baby? Her nose followed the scent into an alley and she turned onto it, finding a large, but thin, baby blanket. Picking it up in her mouth and slinging it over her back, she walked back to the pack.

Tike heaved a sigh, watching all the people with their busy lives zoom by. He was laying down, head rested on his paws. "I want to do something.." he murmured, eyes looking around but head not moving.

Nuka Cola chased a squirrel around on a wide patch of grass. He stopped suddenly, letting the squirrel scurry away. Tongue sticking out of his mouth and nose twitching, he picked up a scent. Nuka Cola started trotting, trying to identify it. He got closer and realized what it was. Hotdogs. Bingo.

Jez whimpered and twitched in her sleep. She was back in her cage at the races, the smell of darkness and dog-sweat surrounding her. The dark shape of her old master rose above her, the beating-stick clutched in one thick hand...
She woke with a gasp. Next to her, Jake raised his head. "The dream again?" he whispered. Noiselessly, Jez nodded her head. Ever since they had escaped the races, Jez had been haunted by nightmares of the terrible place. "It's okay," he murmured. "We're safe here. Go back to sleep." Jez nodded dumbly again and rested her head on her paws.

[Rummy]

Sinclair perked his ears, hearing something behind him then a moment later hearing the soft woof from Lyric. "Lyric" he said sotly and wagged his tail, padding over to her he stooped his head to see her better "Hello, Lyric" he said shyly

Bird curled herself around the toy monster Midnight had slipped between her paws

Jace opened his eyes when Jez gasped but he didnt lift his head. Hearing her and Jack speak his eyes grew sad then he felt her lay back down and he scootched closer. Turning hiself he layed his warm head over her back and signed in contentment, closing his eyes once again

Gypsy hid behind a trashcan, watching intently. She wondered if she had managed to wake Lyric up or if she awoke by herself. Gypsy held her breath, trying not to make a sound.

[Rummy]

Sinclair perked his ears aain, hearing a scuffling behid one of the trashcans he walked over to them and sniffed.Smelling Gypsy he growled "Get out of there" he said

Gypsy stepped out from behind the trash. "Who are you to boss me around!" she shouted viciously, baring her teeth. Gypsy growled menacingly and bristled her fur.

She had a feeling that she was snapping at Sinclair for such a little thing but that didn't matter to her. Every time Gypsy played what he said in her mind it reminded her of the fights, which made her only more furious.

Jez felt Jace lay his head over her back and smiled, eyes still closed. Jake watched this and felt himself warm to Jace. Maybe the stray was good for his sister after all. He lay his head on his paws and slipped back into sleep.
