Sam walked out of the building with Paisley and Willow and opened the cab of his truck. Helping Paisley in he stood back for Willow. Closing the door he started the truck and pulled out of the parkinglot. Heading home he opened tbe windows on this beautiful cool day and smied at the dogs. Pulling into his driveway he pulled up to the house and walked around his truck to letthe dogs out "Paisley needs to rest inside, you're welcome to come and go as you please" he told Willow

Willow

Willow nodded his head and leaped out of the truck, his tail wagging. He sniffed the air and let out a howl, a call to the other pack members. He needed to check to see how they were, he needed to tell them he was alright. But most of all Willow needed to tell them that he was staying with Paisley and that he thinks they should head back to the pack.

Jace perked his ears "Hey thats Willow" he said and stood, heading towards the sound of him

Paisley sleepily walked up the steps with Sams help and went into the house. She layed down on her dog bed infront of the fireplace and was thankfull for the coolness of the inside of the house compared to the outside

Willow

Willow saw Jace enter his sight and woofed. "Jace, how's Benny and Bree? Any sight of Lyric or Sinclair either?" He asked, hoping to hear that somehow they had found Lyric. He didn't really expect to ever find Lyric again though. It seemed as if either Lyric went really far away or got hurt. As for Sinclair Willow assumed he had headed back to the pack and anyways it seemed like Sinclair could take care of himself. He heard the pup's voice and replied. "Yes, it's me. Paisley is fine, she's a little beaten up but she's getting better. We were both shot by the poachers and the last few days we've been spending in the vets." Willow replied to the beagle pup.


Benny

Benny nodded his head. "Willow?" He called as he raced towards the coonhound. The pup wagged his tail rapidly and looked up at Willow, a smile across his face. "Willow! Is Paisley alright? What happened?" The beagle woofed, his eyes beaming with joy.

Jace shook his head "No, no sign of either of them.." he replied and looked at the pup "I think we all should head home.. Lyric can take care of herself, Shes a grown dog" he said

Benny

Benny opened his mouth to object but he didn't know how. "Alright. B...but we are going to need to find a way to manage the pack better. I think you should elect a beta to help you handle the pack." He offered, sounding far more mature then he really is. Benny knew that they wouldn't be able to settle for the best because really there weren't many choices. Bird would be good but she is very young, Sinclair would make logical decisions but there is a lack of trust towards him, Bree would be a very caring beta but she isn't very consistent with her decisions, Gypsy would have the best intentions to help the pack but she tends to think with her heart instead of her mind and Willow would be calm and rational with his decisions but he didn't even consider himself a pack member.


Willow

Willow nodded his head. "I agree with Lil' Benny here." He declared and looked at Jace with a serious expression. He needed to let the others know that. He sighed when he heard Benny's statement and knew that he needed to say his decision here and now. "May I please speak to you?" Willow asked, trying to sound causal. He had made his decision, he wasn't returning to the pack.

Jace looked at Benny then at Willow "Sure" he said "Benny, why dont you go find Bree?" He asked

Benny

Benny nodded his head and trotted away. He trotted over towards Bree and spoke up. "Hey, Bree. Do you want to go find Paisley? Willow said she's back." The pup asked her, his tail wagging as he smiled at his friend.


Willow

Willow nodded his head and sighed to himself. "I've made up my mind. I'm not returning to the pack. I'm not going to be living on the streets without a place to call home though anymore. I want to stay here with Paisley. I know that you guys really need help back at the pack, but... I want to stay. I'm sorry." He admitted to the leader. "Just please remember I'll always be here if you need me." Willow added under his breath.

Jace nodded "I understand, Willow" he smiled "Have a good life with Paisley, we may visit from time to time. And you both are welcome to the city any time" he smiled and turned "Do you want to break it to benny?" He asked and perked his ears

Willow

"Yes, I need to say goodbye to him. You telling him wouldn't be the same." Willow replied, appreciative of Jace's understanding. He began padding towards the pup and spoke up. "Benny, I need to tell you something. I... I'm not coming with you. I'm staying here, with Paisley." The coonhound sighed, half expecting the pup to shout that he was going to stay. Willow didn't want to keep Benny from the pack he loved but nor did he want to never see him again.


Benny

Benny took a breath, a little surprised but not very much. Somehow he had a feeling that Willow wasn't coming. Willow had never been committed to staying with the pack and Benny wasn't blind, he could see how Willow felt for Paisley. He smiled at the coonhound and pressed his pelt against him. "It's alright. Just make sure you visit." Benny told the coonhound, a smile across his face.
