Stone

I heard the mournful howls coming from camp. "Silk, what do you think is happening?" I asked. "Maybe we should go back..." I turned and began walking in the general direction of camp. When I reached it, I spoke to Cove. She told me what was going on. I let out a mournful howl of my own.
"Stone, could you find a wolf named Tala and bring her here?" Cove asked me. I nodded and took off into the trees.
I found the wolf.
"Tala?" I said. "Camp is this way. And if you're wondering about the howls, a wolf has passed away," I said bluntly. "Come on. This way." I began to sprint through the trees.

~ Tala
"Oh... I'm very sorry," Tally murmured quietly, guilt building inside her. Of course. She should have known. As soon as she arrived, someone else left... permanently. She galloped after the new stranger, trying to keep pace with him. As they approached the base, she let out her own mournful call to respect the death even though she knew not of the wolf who had gone.

Stone

I was pleased with the respect that Tala showed towards the pack's loss. If she became a member of the pack, she would be a valuable member. Stone led the way into camp and directed Tala to Cove, who was laying in her den.

Cove

I rested my leg and stomach by sitting in my den. "Hello, Tala," I greeted. You can stay in the hunter's den, if you would like. There is a spare place there." I looked sadly at my paws, remembering Kayna. I composed myself.
"Aah!" I gasped. There was a sharp nudge in my stomach. I ignored it.
"Yes, anyway. You can stay for a few days and decide if you want to join us," I said kindly.

Ollie sighed. 'Oh no.' he loped towards camp, his paws thudding on the ground as if he had the weight of thousands on him, and his heart was heavy. Kayna. It was bitter, to see Kayna dead. He sat outside Kayna's old den, and tilted his head to the sky. He howled, his mournful song twisting through the now coiling, damp frog and snaking into receiving ears.

Niakitia joined in, her sweet but sand song nothing compared to any other femme's howl. She choked back tears, having very little strength left in her as well.

~I'm thinking of killing Nia. :3 Just to dramatize things 'gain.~

~ Yue-Tala
Moony nodded gratefully towards all of the members she currently knew, bowing to show her respect to them. This was her. She was a considerate fae, caring towards and always worrying about even those she didn't know, and never comfortable without something to do. If she could help, she would. She glanced around now, feeling like she was already accepted here and liek she could be herself around these wolves and they would like her for her. This was a positive for her but,mnot wanting to appear greedy at the thought of rest at a sad time like this, she stayed near Cove's den (though walking out for the alphess's privacy) and lifted her head to join in the mourning song.

Cove

I painfully got to my feet and headed out of my den. I howled, a long, mournful one. I limped over to Ollie and leaned on his shoulder.
"We have lost a valuable member of our pack," I whispered. "And poor Echo." I leaned on Ollie, and let out another howl.

~ Yue-Tala
Moony's ears drooped to match her tail and her mood. "I did not know you, fair fae, but I wish I had. I pay my respects to you and hope you have a safe trip to wherever your destination lies. Take care, for you have many here who miss you," she spoke reasonably confidently now.

Nia tok a deep breath, and hobbled over to Ollie. 'Tell Stone I love him in heaven, Ollie. It is time.' she choked. She was running out of breath, so she preserved it. She went to her favourite clearing, and let out one last howl. She lay down, and smiled. She closed her eyes, forever.

Ollie sighed. He looked at Nia, concerned. 'Nia, no..!' he cried, softly. 'Not you. No, no no..' he cried, quietly. 'Tell Ma I love her still, Nia..' Then he let out a pained, hurt call. It announced another loss.

Stone

I gasped. Nia! No! I let out the most mournful howl possible, and it came from my heart, which was broken in half. "Nia," I murmured to myself. "Nia, no..."

Cove

I knew Nia had left us. I dipped my head in sadness, before lifting it and howling. Two terrible losses in less than an hour. I gulped and limped into my den. I couldn't handle it any more. I just couldn't. I closed my eyes and rested my head near my stomach, which felt swollen even though it wasn't yet. My leg ached painfully, and I let out a pained yelp.
"Tala?" I called.

Echo

I knew Nia was gone, as well as my mother. I would miss Nia. Who would watch over the pups now? I guessed Cove would probably step in, as she was going to be a mother herself. I laid down and put my head on my paws. I tried to get to sleep, and the long road to slumber was filled with mournful whimpers and sobs.

Ollie whimpered, and curled up in a tight ball. He cried for a bit, his head hurting. He then remembered. He got up, and walked over to Stone. 'Nia said she loves you, even in heaven.'
