Aida walked outside cautiously aware of her owner. She slunk out the doggy door and jumped, trying to hop the fence. Her body smacked it was a ear-splitting thunk and her owner, Max, walked outside.
"Aida! Bad girl," he said and hit her. Aida frowned and tears rose in her eyes as the hand hit her neck. She growled and ran under the fence. Her slick body was huffing and puffing as she ran, but Max was right behind her. She ran along the streets of the city, barking a warning to Max, yet not meaning it.
