They got to the hunting grounds and Ross looked around and smelled.

Emerald stopped when the hunting grounds came into view. She narrowed her eyes slightly as she looked around. No prey in sight. She stepped out a little further and sniffed the air. Tons of scents filled her nose. The scent of the earth, the grass, the forest behind her, Ross, and finally the scent of some deer. Off to the east. "Let's backtrack into the forest and go east a little. We could sneak up on some deer over there."
