Berlin trotted up to Bay, then stretched out his neck to sniff her. Abruptly jerking his head up, the grullo stallion snorted. "Come on," he whinnied, nipping her on the flank. "We are leaving. Violet, come on." He could smell her heat scent, and soon the other stallions would be able to, too.

Berlin lead his mares to the other side of the foothills, so they flanked them on one side and the mountains on the other. "So Bay," the stallion whinnied teasingly. "How are you feeling?"
