"Suki," she neighed, tilting her head. "I think it means 'beloved', but I can't remember. A human gave it to me."

The palomino mare nodded her head. "A little girl. She used to brush my coat every day. It felt nice. Then she left. No more brushes. Then I left and came here." She smiled. "I like it here better than in a stall."
