Torrae heard the soft howls, each one like a knife being twisted in her gut. She clenched her teeth against more sobs, and instead, lifted her head to let out a soft howl in reply. It wasn't very loud, and she was quite far away, but she hoped he'd hear it. If not, she'd have to go to him, and with her legs in the condition they were, she didn't think she'd get there very fast. "I'm sorry, West. I love you, and it's not your fault. I'm just not ready to commit like that again, I was hurt to badly last time I tried. You probably hate me now, but at least I didn't force myself to say yes. It would have hurt both of us much more, in the end..."
