A soft tugging woke Alistair up. His amber eyes looked up, hurt, at Narissa, him giving a whine that sounded merely childish for a dog his size. His owner gave a laugh, a laugh that twinkled like the bell chimes when a wind hit them. She had auburn hair, and olive green eyes, like the lord himself had taken extra time to craft her. Which was why she worked as a model, known as an ice queen, but looking at Alistair, many people doubted that. "Sorry you big oaf, but it's morning, time to get in some exercise!" His face fell. Exercise. How much he hated that word. But he got up anyway, and stretching the sleep out of his muscles, noticed that it was spring. He liked winter better, it was less warm... But he gave a low sigh and merely followed his owner's stick thin legs quietly, and found the butler getting two plates of food, that were exactly the same, except hers were more slimming or something of the sort. He wolfed down his, then Narissa found half of hers missing, and his soft nose staring up at her, lying on the table. She giggled, and ran a hand through his silky soft fur, and the large dog's tail wagged furiously. She finished her food before Alistair could steal any more of hers, then went to the door, finding him lying down at the door, blocking the way to open it. She gave an exasperated sigh, tugging Alistair aside, him moving the carpet with him, before she finally opened the door and gave him a little push, walking out the gate.
Alistair's paws brushed against the floor, not making a sound, his tail high up, as he stared at all the rich, pompous houses. A mischievious twinkle entered his eye. "Ah, the scent of more fun." His tail wagged, and he wondered when they would get to the park. He absolutely adored the park, but the journey there... not so much.
But after a long while, they were there, and he rolled around on the grass, before standing, the grass soft and springy under his feet, and he gave a soft yawn, before looking around, his amber eyes glowing. Narissa got a stick and they played 'poke the big fluffy dog to try to get him to exercise' for a while, before Narissa sighed, it was time for her to leave. Alistair gave a soft whine, his soft silky fur cascading around him, as he stared up at her with pleading eyes, rolling unto his back, so that he was on her feet, now she could get away. The cheeky twinkle returned to his eyes. "Alistair... you know I have to go work."Alistair finally sighed, and as she got up, she petted his head, her small hand less then half the size of his head, startlingly petite. She then left, and Alistair stared after her, before he looked around, before seeing Sky. He padded over labouriously, a salmon pink tongue draping out of his jowels, surrounded by menacingly sharp teeth, that he ironically had no idea how to use. "Hey Sky! Good day today?" He asked gently, looking as refined as a dog could get, but that mischievious twinkle in his eyes still shone brightly.
Will do Chanda's later.)

Our part of District 12, nicknamed the Seam, is usually crawling with coal miners heading out to the morning shift at this hour. Men and women with hunched shoulders, swollen knuckles, many who have long since stopped trying to scrub the coal dust out of there broken nails, the lines of their sunken faces. But today the black cinder streets are empty. Shutters on the squat gray houses are closed. The reaping isn't until two. May as well sleep in. If you can.~The Hunger Games~
